Critical: QualityMy local “moms group” of about 50 people and I review hair stylists and restaurants every year as a group so we can make recommendations to each other. I was long overdue for a cut and highlight/lowlight so I called Terri at Attitude for an appointment since none of our group had ever been to this salon.The salon is very pretty overall. There is no receptionist so you have to wait for a stylist to greet you. Overall, a nice atmosphere and very friendly. My appointment started 10 minutes late which is no problem.My consultation didn’t feel thorough. We discussed the color (brown with blonde highlights that don’t hit the root) and I showed 3 pictures of what I wanted, including one of my last hairstyle/color. This felt secure but we didn’t discuss the haircut at all, how I usually style my hair, etc.Terri was very pleasant and personable throughout the dying process.The haircut was alright. I asked for layers after she finished because she didn’t realize I had them before and she happily added them for me.The overall result wasn’t like any of the 3 pictures I showed. I came out yellow, which is something I specified I don’t like. There was no dimension except a two-tone between very blonde on top and very brown underneath and at the root. Terri must have noticed this because she told me, “if you come back, we should do brown low lights” which I thought was going to happen based on the pictures I showed and my requested description.My hair is also now very knotted which is unusual for me. It looks and feels more damaged than I’ve ever experienced with bleach. I’ve lost several long strands and clumps in the last 30 minutes since leaving the salon which has never happened before.Additionally, my hair was mostly dried but not styled at all.I would’ve loved to leave feeling especially pretty but I didn’t.The upsides are how friendly the stylists seem with their clients as well as how nice the space looks.
