I don’t recommend getting an eyebrow waxing at Athenas.I got burned by hot wax and it was very uneven. Wax was left on and I was told to wash it off with soap when I got home. I had to go elsewhere to have it fixed as much as they could. I was going to get a pedicure but was told to come back another day because the waxing took so long. I won’t ever go back there.

I feel the need to revisit my 5 star review…Today (7/2016) It seems like the service has gone down in this place. I’ve gotten a few gel manicures now over the past few months and feel as though the quality is not where it used to be. I just got a $50 gel manicure on Wednesday and today Sunday, my nails are cracking AND The woman did not even use the hot stones during my massage. Also, I do not appreciate the fact that now, after years of having one price for service there are two; one for cash and one for credit. You are not a gas station. Looking for a new salon, which is very unfortunate since you had been my favorite for years. A patron since 2013. UPDATE: Not even a week after having my manicure done, one of my nails breaks! They said the manicure could last up to 3 weeks. No way is that happening!

Absolutely terrible! Four of my family went together, 3 had a mani pedi and I had a pedi. My niece couldn’t decide on the nail polish and the woman actually was mad at her and shook her head. My grand daughter asked for a design for her finger nails (she had a picture with her) the woman started and became frustrated and said oh I can’t do this and made some ridciulous design on her nail. She asked the woman to remove it and do something else and the woman was furious. She began shaking her head and rolling her eyes at my grand daughter. The manicure was AWFUL, the woman did not do any cuticle work or hand massage, she simply filed and painted the nails, they seemed to be more focused on the next customer instead of the customer sitting in front of them. The manicure polish started chipping that night on all of us. The polish on the manicure chipped for 2 of us within 2 days. They advertise a hot stone massage. I had finished with my pedicure and as waiting for my family members and after about 20 minutes, the girl came and gave me a hot stone massage, at that point, why bother? As for the pricing – OUTRAGEOUS. They had a hand made sign in the window advertising $30 for a mani and pedi. They fail to mention that is for students only! I was shocked when we were given a bill for $52 each for a mani/pedi. I explained about the sign and how it did not specify there was any special criteria and the woman would not consider a price adjustment. This was the first and last time I will ever go to Athena Nails, Staff was rude, quality was poor, the price adveritised was false and they definitely are not friendly to young adults. Do not waste your time or money on this business, a terrible experience from start to finish.
