Critical: Professionalism, QualityI scheduled my appointment on Styleseat 2 weeks in advanced. On the morning of my appointment, I sent a message asking if the Loc Maintenance was really a 2.5 hour service, as I needed to make my barbershop appointment directly after. My hair is in locs cut into a Mohawk. She canceled my appointment 2 hours prior to my appointment start time stating “this isn’t a good fit.” I live 45 minutes away from her salon and of course was preparing to leave when I received this message. This was highly unprofessional and so disappointing as I take supporting black business very important. Especially now.After explaining to the young lady “why” I asked, which I did not have to, she replied I should have explained to her why I’d asked the question, as no one has ever asked about timing for her services I explained to her I live across state lines and have to coordinate my hair appointments with not only the loctition but also a Barber. I’m not sure in what world a customer has to explain why a question about time and duration of services has to be explained to the one rendering the service, but the texting back and forth just solidified the unprofessionalism. On the morning of my appointment, I sent a message asking if the Loc Maintenance was really a 2.5 hour service, as I needed to make my barbershop appointment directly after.
