My first visit to Dr. Styron was truly stress free. The receptionist and staff were very courteous and genuinely friendly. Dr Styron’s exam was very thorough and she answered all of my questions thoughtfully. I would highly recommend Associates in Dermatology to all.

Just like another person commented, I was refused to be seen, due to recently being put on Medicaid – Upon approaching the front desk in Westlake, to check in and give the rude desk attendant my insurance card, she looked at me like I’d handed her a useless piece of paper. I mentioned that if not covered, I would be able to pay for the HS shots I needed. She then called someone in billing, and told me I would not be able to be seen and that I would have to call the number on back of my card, with no directions (mind you, HS is a time and stress sensitive disease, and it will only get worse the more you wait). I walked out to my car, cried, and drove an hour and 15 mins back home in pain. I have been an HS patient of Dr. Hazen for 7 years now and have never been turned away when I was self pay – He has always told me to come in as soon as I can when I flareup, to try and get the shots needed to avoid the possibility of surgery. Now, my HS has flared to a point where I might need surgery and I’m not able to walk. Not only did I experience discrimination, but now I’m in immense pain and will have to pay for a procedure 3X more expensive than a simple shot. In the state of Ohio, Medicare patients can not self pay, but Medicaid can – they should have offered me the self pay election form, like many other providers would have, and have done for me. Extremely unhappy with this office after I’ve put my trust in them for several years.

The doctors will prescribe you topical steroids that your body gets addicted to and then when you try to talk about how to handle the topical steroid withdrawal they will deny that’s what you’re experiencing, tell you to just go back on the topical steroid and then prescribe you yet ANOTHER cream for your skin to get addicted to.

Everything has been so chaotic since the pandemic I was worried if I could find a dermatologist in time. Thankfully for associates in dermatology they were available to take phone calls (some places understandably weren’t) and answer the numerous questions that I had to the best of their ability. They had availability for appointments the very next day!! 🙂 I was so relieved to know that I could have these unwanted face moles removed in time to heal for my families wedding. My appointment was at 2 and I left by 2:40. The doctor was very thorough, informational, considerate and social. I am pleased and relieved to have rid myself of these moles on my face that have bothered me for years. Thank you and God bless!

So rude I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t even get past the operator she was such a b. You can only go for two things and then you have to make another appointment for more things so they can charge you for a second appointment. She was actually laughing at me on the phone. She shouldn’t have that job. I’m so upset I’m crying right now.

Since my insurance does not pay for my procedure, I was told to pay $120 for 10 lesions to be sprayed off. The lesions did not come off, and they are asking for an additional $30 never discussed. Also, would have to keep paying for “attempts” at Actual removals. It’s a really good scam they all have nowadays. Remember when doctors used to treat in 1 visit, takes these new ones 10 visits. But hey, that’s business. $150 For Nothing.

Dr. Shah is AMAZING!! I have seen multiple dermatologists and plastic surgeons over the years and I have to admit that Dr. Shah is by far the most nice, most considerate, and skilled doctor I have seen. He truly cares about his patients and takes the time needed to make you feel comfortable.

I chose Associates in Dermatology because of the many positive referrals I had from friends and family. I scheduled my appointment because of concerns over some odd and angry looking moles/freckles that had recently appeared (I am in my late 50’s and grew up in Florida and spent far too many hours out in the sun so I was very concerned). Skin cancer is a big concern for me as well. The reception staff was friendly, quick and professional and made me feel very much at ease while checking in. After a very short wait I was promptly seen by Dr. Reep and was very happy with his immediate professional and personable attention to all of my comments and concerns. After a very complete and thorough exam he calmly put each of my fears at ease, made sure I had all of my questions answered, provided some very helpful literature and even recommended a treatment solution for a minor problem I had outside of my original reason for the scheduled visit. Luckily, I was told that I was fine and that I would just need to monitor things moving forward. What a relief! The check-out process was just as easy, speedy and pleasant , as was the entire visit. I’m used to being shuffled out after office visits, but not here…I was pleasantly greeted again, quickly checked out and asked if I had any remaining questions. I can’t say enough good things about this office and the Associates in Dermatology group. Amazing and thorough service and an excellent staff, and I was left with the feeling of relief and confidence that I had received the best possible care and treatment ! I will certainly be returning for any future issues and would highly recommend Associates in Dermatology! Thanks for everything!

It is next to impossible to get my medication refilled. I’ve been a patient here for 6 years and I’ve called every week for 5 weeks now trying to get my medication filled. I call the number, leave the message with all of the required information and NO ONE has called me back. No one has given me a reason why it’s taking so long. I’ve already begun the search for a new derm. They are rude and negligent here. Who knew sending a prescription that’s already been filled was so difficult?
