I went to Ash & Oak once and I liked my haircut and stylist. I intended to continue using their services for the foreseeable future. However, during the month of December I had to cancel once for a funeral and called a few days prior once I realized the conflict with my appointment. (Edited to emphasize after their response, my first cancellation was with MORE than 24 hours’ notice and I informed them it was for a family funeral – also an unexpected event). Today I needed to request a cancellation within 24 hours of my appointment because my little dog unexpectedly had a stroke and needed to be taken to the emergency vet. I explained that I had been up all night with her without sleep. I was told I’d be charged 50% of my appointment fee for the cancellation. I’m a therapist myself and if a client cancels and I don’t charge a fee, I don’t get paid. I understand they have a business to run. That being said, I personally would have made an exception if this were my client and I would prefer to give my money to a business that is more understanding and makes exceptions for me too. I’m $1,000 poorer after the emergency vet, exhausted and heartbroken about my dog’s inability to walk, and the $37.50 fee they charged me (within minutes of hanging up the phone) was the cherry on top and left a really bad taste in my mouth. I’ll be looking for another salon.

Summer was able to get me in for a last minute appointment, I was a mess calling from the park lot. I just finished my last chemo treatment and was freaking out about the state of my hair, it wouldn’t curl anymore and seemed to be fried. She reassured me it was as lifeless as I had thought. She washed my hair, which I loved, cut it and styled it. She was so kind. I’ll definitely be back!!

Cannot rave about this establishment and staff enough! Stylists gave me the hair of my dreams with GreatLengths extensions, and never turning back. Staff is always friendly and helpful, even when asking for advice on everyday haircare inquires. Love and appreciate these ladies in both locations! Hair extensions

This was my first time at Ash and Oak and I left soooo happy. Kasee gave me the best haircut and Val provided a super relaxing shampoo. I booked another appointment with Kasee on the spot because I’m sure she is just as talented with color as she is with cutting. The salon is gorgeous and all the products that were used smelled sooooo good. Worth every penny spent. Thank you!

Critical: ValueI booked for full highlights with Kasee (senior stylist). I love the work detail, the time she took to pull each string out to highlight. However, While I was waiting for my highlights to process, she took another client. So, she took a long time with the Other client until my hair over processed and burned. My hair was like Ramen noodles can easily be cut with my fingers.I wish the time that I booked was committed to me only. I booked for two hours and a half, unfortunately, she took three clients in those two hours and a half.Price doesn’t matter with me as long as I’m getting a good quality work. I paid $345 for the service.
