She is everything you have ever wanted in a hair stylist. She’s on another level. She is a HAIR MASTER, and a REIKI MASTER to boot! From the minute I stepped into her ethereal, welcoming, calming salon I felt at HOME. She sat down with me—which, in all my decades of gettin mah haah did, has NEVER happened—NOT EVER! She talked to me like a person instead of so many other salons who want to sell you on highlights, lowlights, etc. She knew I was iffy about balayage and she was equally excited to as she said “paint” my hair! She asked me to send an “inspiration photo” which I thought was so cool. Most salons ask you to send a picture of what you want—not Jess. She is ALL about INSPIRATION!My hair looks AMAZING!! She took her time and it shows! I usually wait up to two months to get my hair done again, though I booked only four weeks out because I wanted to spend more time with Jess, and also wanted to cover my roots even though in the past, I’d let it go. Not with Jess. I wanted to show off her work because it and she are sooo GOOD!I was experiencing the remnants of a migraine when I got in her chair, and when she was washing my hair, she placed a hot towel on my head. I could feel the reiki and actually saw a purple light! She was working on my crown chakra, and boom! Migraine remnants were GONE! I then booked an hour reiki sesh with her and it was such a beautiful experience! I felt more calm and relaxed, and I’m moving across the country in a week! I don’t feel stressed about it at all. The experience was so good that it cannot be told in just a sentence or two!I started seeing Jessica at Ascension Salon about 6 months ago thanks to a friend that suggested her. My friend referred to her as her “hair goddess” and guaranteed I would be in good hands and she was not lying!! I reached out to Jessica and she was immediately responsive and soooo kind. It felt like we already knew each other by how easy the communication was and she gladly worked with my schedule to get me in ASAP. I arrived for my first appointment and immediately fell in love with salon vibes as there is an absolutely beautiful waiting area that instantly reminds you to check-in to your “you” time. As I entered her personal salon area, again, instantly felt comfortable and a complete relaxation on a whole different level than I have EVER felt at any salon. I have fine, blonde hair so typically I get very anxious when I go to a new hair stylist because it can be difficult to deal with. I was a little nervous on my way there only because I knew my hair was going to be a nightmare for her (it had been over a year since my last cut and color) but upon my arrival, she immediately sat down and got to know me (not many do this and it was huge as it built trust and relief right away), asked what I had in mind, I showed some pics, and then she gladly got to work. I did not have a worry in the world and felt complete comfort, confidence and trust in her and the final outcome. It was the best feeling to sit and truly enjoy great conversation and “me time” through the process rather than being stressed the whole time about if I will like my hair when she is done. Jessica was made for this. She understands how to do her job naturally and passionately, and connects with her clients so effortlessly that you immediately have trust in her. She is gentle and has a healing touch that is unexplainable. Which leads to my review of my first Reiki session I had with Jessica about a month ago. She has added these incredible services to her salon and I am so excited about them. She and I had previously discussed things like yoga, meditation, and I shared with her that I am currently exploring my spiritual journey on a deeper level. She had eventually mentioned that she was a Master in Reiki and offered the service at my next hair appointment. She offered a free 30-min session at the end of my hair appt because it was my first experience with Reiki, so I accepted the offer and went into it with very little research as I wanted to go in open-minded and no expectations to give it a fair shot. In the 30-mins, I instantly became a believer and scheduled my next full body, 1-hr session, which I had yesterday. The experience was the most life changing experience I have ever had. An experience that I cannot even put into words, yet. I suffered quit a bit of trauma in my childhood and done several years of therapy, including EMDR. It has all helped significantly, but I still never reached a sense of peace, complete acceptance, or closure with a lot of things. In 1.5 hours of Reiki with Jessica I have gained a sense of peace, closure, acceptance, kindness, love, understanding, forgiveness, and connection with myself and the universe that has brought me overwhelming amounts of positive energy, purpose, and overall clarity within myself. She truly cares about her clients on a different level beyond just doing their hair. She has so much compassion for every single human on this Earth, she is so pure and genuine, and has truly found her calling. I will recommend Jessica for any woman I cross paths with that is interested! I could type for days about my experiences at this salon and every one of those experiences have exceeded my expectations. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG BY CHOOSING ASCENSION SALON! This was my second time getting highlights from her and they always turn out beautifully, I get so many compliments on my hair.
