I love Asa’s. They support local artists, the atmosphere is informal and welcoming, and the decor is lowkey/borderline vintage. My hairdresser Nina always seems to know what style I want and how to cut it (which is a gamble with very short hairstyles). When it was raining, they offered me a cup of tea and told me to stay as long as I needed to. Above and beyond quality service.

I don’t normally write reviews, but felt the need to do it here. I showed up on time for an appointment I had with Chris. I was told that Chris was “14 minutes away” which was unfortunate, but I figured I’d wait since I’d heard good things. 30 minutes after my appointment time, Chris still wasn’t there. The disrespect for my time was something I’ve never experienced anywhere. Being late alone is a problem, but at least let me know you’re going to be 30 minutes late so I can cancel or grab a coffee.
