Chip has done almost all of my tattoos. He does very detailed work and I am proud to display his work for everyone to see. I’ve had SO MANY people comment on how great my tats are. He’s won a ton of awards, and continues to win every year. I love and respect that Chip refuses to do certain tattoos (such as the confederate flag, anchors, or infinity signs). After all, what he does is art. And there is a lot of integrity behind his work. Even if I were to move across the country, I would fly back just for him to tattoo me.

I’ve been to Chip’s tattoo shop a couple of times and I’ve always walked away completely satisfied. He is very good at what he does, he pays close attention to details and his prices have always seemed fair and reasonable. The young lady that answers the phone and books appointments is always in a good mood, always polite, always friendly, so I highly recommend people going to Artifex.

Oh I love Artifex! Chip is amazing and Katie is so nice. I got my first tattoo from Chip back in 2013 when I was in college. It still looks beautiful. I’ve gotten a few more tattoos since then but his was the only one that was custom and I miss that. He also did a coverup for me and fixed the lines on a terrible tattoo I got around that time. Seriously if you have a chance, make an appointment and have Chip do his magic!

Everything about my Artifex experience was wonderful….The way I was treated, the atmosphere, and quality of work….The tattoo I got far exceeded my expectations….I absolutely love it!! It’s evident that Chip is highly skilled and experienced and a great guy. This was my first tattoo and I felt totally comfortable throughout the entire experience. I can’t say enough great things about Chip and Artifex….I plan to get another tattoo and I won’t go to anyone else….I will be forever singing his praises!!

I was treated incredibly well. I had a friend go with me, and Chip was amazing to us both. I’ve been in the shop twice, once for my first tattoo, back on Sept 30th, and once for my friend who got her second Artifex tattoo a few weeks later. He’s a wonderful artist who stands by his work, which shows with his free touch ups policy. I will be going in again for a touch up and tattoo soon. I was worried by a couple reviews online, but I can’t figure out where they’re coming from. But honestly, my only complaint is that I need to get my tattoo touched up(which is more because of my skin, not Chip), but it’s free. I can’t really complain about that, and every other aspect of the place, from the other people working there, to the atmosphere, to Chip’s skill and care in his work, is perfect, so it gets a perfect score in my book.
