Fantastic place!! I was looking for a Keratin/straightening salon in NYC. As I don’t have any friends who do this treatment, I had to go on Google. I somehow ended up at Armando’s site. I couldn’t be happier! I was worried that my hair was too damaged for the treatment. Armando spent so much time just feeling my hair and talking to me before telling me he was super confident my hair would be fine. . He did a color touch up and then a gentle straightening. My hair looks healthy and fabulous! Happy Hair… Happy Life!

I tried many salons for Keratin straightening before finding Armando and I continue to go back to him because he’s by far, the best. He carries the most options of Keratin treatments I’ve ever seen in 1 salon and takes his time in truly assessing which treatment is best for your hair. His cuts and highlights also never disappoint- he’s a true master of his craft.

My hair is naturally thick and dry. I searched through the best salons that can straighten hair (and have good reviews) and came across this place. The service is good. Both ms Selva and the owner did my hair. They were very kind people offering water here and then. I am a completely different person now and it’s all thanks to them. Unfortunately I didn’t ask to part my hair to the side so it looked kind of odd, but I parted it myself and it looks better now 🙂 This salon is by far the only one that hasn’t disappointed me. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is because it’s pricey. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. And I paid for a really good deal, but I still think $398 is a bit too much. I guess it’s understandable because my hair is naturally thick. But I personally wouldn’t come back for that reason. Other than that, no complaints. Thank you so much

The best place to go for a perm!! Armando is the best when it comes to anything you want for ya hair whether its highlights, straightening or curling he is a professional. Also very friendly and loves to work with his clients as best as possible. It’s easy to find a decent hair stylist in NYC, but it is a rarity to come across someone as talented as Armando. He has been doing my keratin treatments and hair cuts for years, and I would never think of going to anyone else – the results are always amazing and leave me with healthy, frizz-free, easy to maintain tresses for months. I can’t recommend Armando enough!

This review comes with ABSOLUTELY no malice towards the stylist, his professionalism, or the business in question. I called ahead to stop by the salon for a general consultation after seeing the extensive services list and all of these amazing reviews online. I have healthy type 3b/3c combination hair (pictured is air dried, no product) and was told there are absolutely no services that would suit my hair type here. Not styling, straightening, color- nothing! After planning my weekend around what salon I would go to for a consultation with limited free time, and several phone calls to arrange that I could be seen, it was really disappointing to be told my hair is too difficult to do in person (it’s not). So if your hair is similarly textured to mine or you have tighter curls/ coils, you will have to look elsewhere. Again, he is a very kind person, and I do not discredit his work but hopefully this saves someone else the time I spent.

First time visiting was this last Saturday, September 19th. What a quaint hair salon! The owner, Armando, was a fabulous host, offering me a hot cup of coffee and a cozy seat while we had our consultation. I would highly recommend this place on the interaction with Armando alone. It was immediately obvious that he knows his stuff, priding himself in specializing in a less common niche than other salons (including services that most other salons likely won’t do). Armando took a genuine interest in the history of my hair and made recommendations that would not only result in aesthetic appeal, but also improve the health of my hair. Will definitely come back again.
