The front desk girl (sorry I wish I caught your name) was incredibly sweet and friendly, she even came back to chat when she could! (Enjoy “This is Us”, girl!)I had the pleasure of having Tori cut my hair and wax my eyebrows.I explained I had “alot” of thin hair and just needed a trim and framing. Tori is so knowledgeable about hair, she suggested a cut given my personal hair issues… when everything was said and done, I honestly don’t think my hair has ever looked better!The whole time we just talked and talked, it really was a wonderful experience. She took her time with my eyebrows and obsessed over every little hair as if they were her own eyebrows. Worst haircut ever! When I made the appointment, I asked for someone with “experience” because I was significantly changing my hairstyle. I was told Tori was new to Aria, but had been doing hair for 20 years. Not only did she cut my hair at least 3” shorter than I asked, ( I now have a pixie instead of a bob) she beveled the back layers so unevenly that not even a flat iron or curling iron will keep them from sticking straight out from the back of my head. I’ve had a similar cut in the past and it was never so difficult(impossible)to style.

I’ve been going to Aria Salon for a couple years now. I was happy to have an Aveda Salon open in the Lake Orion area. The products are amazing and Clara, the owner, is the best. I leave looking amazing, just what I’ve asked for and the prices are reasonable. Luxury with the small Salon feel. Couldn’t ask for a better place! I’ve recommended a lot of people who have been very happy as well.

I found Mary at Aria Salon Lake Orion 3 years ago because of my love for Aveda products. I quickly fell in love with HER! I followed her back to the other Aveda location in Shelby because she does such an AMAZING job with my color and style as well. It always looks so rich and vibrant. The best news is that she is now back at Lake Orion again so now I have her back in the Nieghborhood. Either way she’s always been worth the drive. I look forward to our appointments because I enjoy seeing and talking to her and I also enjoy all the compliments I get on my hair afterwards. I highly recommend Mary for hair coloring that is beautiful and stays vibrant.

By the looks of the interior and the professionalism of the woman at the front desk, you’d assume you were in the right place for a beautiful new look. Unfortunately, you’d be wrong. The stylist I had was rude (did not talk), complained about how long and thick my hair was (incessently), and had me stand bent over the sink to rinse. Twice she panicked while coloring my hair and rushed to get the product out of my hair…something no client wants to witness when their head is covered in foils. When I walked out of the salon, after forking over far too much cash, I looked exactly like I did when I walked in…only poorer. Do NOT go here.
