was suggested this place by a co-worker. It was my first tattoo, and wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. I worked via email with Desirea, and after a few back and forth, was able to schedule my appointment. Their location was very clean, and I felt comfortable the entire time. She walked me thru all the steps, what to expect, and how to handle things once I left. While most people crave additional tattoos, I probably won’t. But I will highly suggest Area 51 and Desirea’s artistic skills! So happy with the entire process and the end result!

Absolutely an amazing experience. Khalid is an amazing artist and he is very personable. I am 57 and I never had any desire to get a tattoo. Last fall one of our Golden Retrievers died suddenly. We found out later she had consumed deadly nightshade. She had just turned 2, 3 days earlier. I decided I wanted to put her on my arm and keep her with me forever. I told Khalid my story and he understood what I was looking for and you could tell he cared. He made me feel at ease and I felt like I was chatting with an old friend I had not seen in a long time. He with it a doubt nailed what I was looking for. Thank you Khalid. No doubt I will be back for another one.

Absolutely love!!! Desirea was my artist and I cannot say enough great things! Her work is amazing. Additionally, it was my first tattoo so she was very through with explaining the process and making sure I understood what was happening throughout the process. She also made sure I understood the aftercare process and was very adamant that I contact her or the team with any questions/concerns I had with my healing tattoo. I can’t wait to get my next tattoo here!

This is a great shop. It’s clean, friendly, inviting, and the tattoos are the absolute best. To put it another way, in Aug. 2019 I got my first tattoo, and just over a year later, I got my third. If Khalid was not so busy due to his great work, who knows how many I’d have. I look forward to each appointment like a kid on Christmas morning. They have added even more safety/health procedures and in terms of the pandemic, I feel totally safe going here. Area 51 is our family tattoo destination for good reason. We highly recommend it.

I’ve hopped around a few shops over the years and never really found a great artist and an environment that I felt comfortable in. Fed up, I did a lot of research and gave Area 51 a shot after reading amazing reviews. I am so glad I did! Ive now had three tattoos done at Area 51 (2 by Khalid and 1 by desirea). They are AMAZING. They are both very down to earth and easy to work with, create phenomenal tattoos, offer reasonable prices, and a super clean and organized shop. I will never go anywhere else. Khalid is so patient, he will adjust the design or placement a hundred times if he has to until it’s just what you want.
