I really needed a hair cut and a good one. They were wonderful. I felt so good coming out of there. I felt like a million bucks and price was great!! Please go and check them out. Also a great story. Aunt had owned salon for years and now her nice runs it. So family owned and ran!!! They care that’s all I can say.

I called to ask if I can get in for a quick haircut. I suffer from a previous back injury so I can’t be seated for too long. I was told that an appointment is typically needed but if I made it there in an hour (noon) they were willing to see me. I saw some of the reviews noted that a woman with very long hair had 6 inches cut off and was charged $35.00. I asked for my hair not to be washed or blow dried. Ms. Gabriela cut my hair which took her no more than 35 minutes. When I was ready to pay, I was charged $45.00. Really? I had 3 inches cut off, no wash or blow dry. That’s all. I then asked what would the charge have been if she washed & dried it and was told an additional $5.00. She got extremely defensive with me when I asked this question. Also, I was told they only take cash but there was a credit card machine right there. I really don’t care how many years of experience this woman claimed to have, the lack of transparency and defensive attitude, not to mention the claim that I needed to pay cash b/c they don’t accept credit card payments is not worthy of even one star. I will be writing the same exact review on yelp and warn others to seek other places that merit worthy customers.

I was recommended by a family member to try this place out from her wonderful experience, I am super glad I did! My hair stylist was Rosa, such a wonderful woman to talk to, she welcomed me in and took care of my hair. She was very upfront and honest about my hair goals, from how light my hair was able to get to what seemed a better fit for my complexion. I really appreciated that she was very transparent. By the time I left there I felt like I had known her for years! Gracias Rosa por tu tiempo! I definitely recommend Ara Salon but most importantly stylist Rosa.

The best place for haircuts. I’ve been coming here for years, when I had long hair to short pixie cuts and they do it all. Ara and Jatziry are super talented and friendly. They’re also so responsive and accommodating when I’ve needed last minute cuts for work or events or just bc it’s so damn hot out and I can’t deal with long hair at the moment. I’ve lived all over north and south sides of Chicago and I can affirmatively say, this is by far one of the best places in all of Chicago to get your hair cut, dyed, or styled.

I’ve gone here for about 15 years and they have definitely improved every year. My hair always looks nice and I always get compliments. I’ve had it cut-short, trim and layers. I’ve had it dyed: blonde, brown and black- highlights, touch-up and all over color. I haven’t had biolage or ombre here. I’ve had my eye brows and face waxed. I’ve had my nails and makeup done here in the past too. My only complaint is that they did not curl with wands at the time and wands last longer with my hair type. I have thick, long, curly/wavy hair. I’ve seen Raul, Jatziry Gabby, Iris and Ara. They’re all great. They are great people and helpful with scheduling during important times like parties and funerals.

A great place to get a haircut or styling. All the stylists are very friendly and welcoming. They gave us hand sanitizer and checked our temperature, which I appreciated as not enough places do it. My men’s cut was amazing and included the wash. 100% recommend to try this place. My mom loves it too!
