Critical: Cleanliness, Quality, ValueThe nails weren’t painted/cured down to cuticles on all nails. Some of the nails looked like I needed a fill before I even left plus the shape & length varied on nails from both hands pretty dramatically. The nail file used was old and was used to saw into my skin. I tried several times to express my concern on the lengths & was mostly ignored. I would have asked to have them fixed but by that time my cuticles and skin around some of my nails was so sore that I didn’t want to chance it. Even the pedicure, done by am entirely different individual, was not good. The callused skin on my toe tips & pads of feet were barely scrubbed leaving my feet to look just slightly better than when I arrived. The toenail polish was done unevenly and didn’t cover the entire nail. The whole experience was terrible. I’ve mainly use this nail spa over the last 10 years but had not been in over 2 years. Some of the nails looked like I needed a fill before I even left plus the shape & length varied on nails from both hands pretty dramatically. I’ve been coming to this location for about 2+ years and I have never left dissatisfied. The atmosphere is very calming and very clean. They absolutely treat their customers extremely well. I have and always will recommend AQ Nails in Collinsville. I do have to say, make your reservations on their website. It’s fast and very easy. You do not need to make them days in advance but I tend to do so after each visit.

We went first my daughter’s hoco prep. She got a full set and pedicure. While we were waiting, we had a appointment, they kept taking walk ins. We waited 45 minutes past our appointment. They finally got her over for her nails. A very young man did them. They were flat across the whole nail and looked odd, like he barely used any acrylic. I questioned it but he just looked at me. He went on to paint them. When he was done he tried to cash me out. I said I’m sorry we have a 6pm appointment for nails and pedi. He said oh but it’s so late. Sorry. I could paint only? Now you just took in 12 walk ins. I said no were scheduled for a pedicure. He repeated that it was so late. That’s not my fault, my appointment was at 6, we arrived at 530 and it was almost 7 when they finally got to us. So the manager came up and said, oh sorry we will do the pedicure. They took her back, painted her toe nails first. Dipped them in water and put lotion on her legs. Next thing I know she was done. There were pedicures still being done back there that started 30 minutes before she was taken back there. I paid $130.00 for a full set and a 7 minute pedicure….no discount there. One week in two of her nails have come off. The entire nails!! I’ve worn nails for 15 years. Never ever have my nails been awkwardly flat nor have they just popped off. Typically if a nail is ripped off it’s incredibly painful … this only tells me they used minimal product and didn’t prep the nail correctly. I will NEVER use this place again. Save yourself a lot of time and money and go somewhere else.

Appointments have no substance here. I made a an appointment and wasn’t seen till an hour later. Myself and others were constantly ignored and lied to. After they finished my nails they told me not to come back. I simply just asked how much longer will I have to wait to be seen and they got upset because of their unprofessionalism. People of color should NEVER spend their money here! Visited this establishment twice. My first issue is when entering the establishment, they don’t greet us how they greet everyone else. On the first visit, they didn’t speak, however they asked me what service I wanted. I told them just a polish change because I don’t get pedicures from nail shops, I go to actual spas for my pedicures. They sat me in a chair and left me there. Meanwhile, all of the Caucasian clients were coming in and they had their best, most positive business demeanors on. After sitting for 20 mins while everyone after me was being serviced, I left. Visited again thinking it would be different, and they have the same disrespectful actions. This second time (today), same thing. There were only two people in the establishment when I entered and I informed them that I wanted a polish change. The two young ladies that works here were sitting in the nails booths laughing and talking as I was choosing my color of choice. I asked where do I sit. Very natialantly one of the young ladies told me where to sit. I sat and waited for the gentleman to come out. Waited again today for 17 minutes, because I timed it because I was on my lunch break. A Caucasian lady came in and was greeted respectfully, was WALKED to her chair and seated, and the young lady IMMEDIATELY started running her water and preparing for this ladys pedicure while I am still waiting. People of color, go to your own people to spend your money because obviously it is unappreciated here! As you can see from the reviews, which is a customers right to document their experiences, they have a lot to say to us for our negative reviews but I don’t see any negative exchanges with anyone else.

I didn’t have an appointment and asked if they could take me in. It wasn’t busy so i was seated within a minute which was awesome. The gentleman that did my pedicure did an amazing job. Pricey but happy with my results. I recommend this place

Continued post: The lady who was helping me was very rude to me and because I didn’t want gel on my toes, she charged me to remove the gel polish for a polish change. The color was supposed to be white regular polish, but she had to dilute the polish to paint my toes. When she finished, it looked off white and the total nail didnt have coverage of polish. I told her to do Gel on my nails because I needed the color to be white. She then must have told the owner that I wanted something different on my toes, which I didn’t say at all, because he came over and told me this is how the polish came in, but I watched her change it with acetone . So he told me they weren’t charging me for my toes and they were not doing my nails. Now I have yo find another salon and the wedding starts in 3hrs. Never again! These nail shop techs are forgetting that even though they can refuse service, we as the customers know what we want or dont want. At least I do! They should stop racially profiling people and honor what their paying customers are asking for. And we have the right to change our mind before a service starts if given any information prior to the service being rendered. I would post the picture, bit it’s hard to see the difference in color.
