Found Nancy’s website online…we live out of state and needed a stylist for a mountain wedding. Nancy responded quickly to my phone call, and asked for photos of hairstyles I liked. As you can see from the two photos here, Nancy was able to achieve the style I had desired, and then some! (First photo is a magazine photo, and second photo is Nancy’s work on my hair.) She did three ladies’ hair, and the hairstyles held up and still looked fresh at end of day. She arrived at the venue promptly on time, worked quickly, and was courteous and pleasant. She does charge a travel fee, which we felt was totally reasonable in such a remote location. We were very happy with Nancy, her work, and her fees were in the range of what we expected.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI was a bridesmaid with a bridal party this past week and I was very impressed with the work that was done for the whole bridal party both in terms of hair and makeup. Nancy offered us nail polish when we realized that we had forgotten some and none was available in the town. She was so quick with our hair and was able to work with all of our different types of hair. One of the party had thick curly hair, another had straight long hair, another had a lace front wig – I have short hair, but she made it look that my hair went half way down my back just through all the wonderful work she did. We brought some hair pieces that were fantastically placed in each of our hairstyles.Our makeup artist also took such pride in her work and you could really tell that she cared and wanted everyone to love their looks. I was a bridesmaid with a bridal party this past week and I was very impressed with the work that was done for the whole bridal party both in terms of hair and makeup. Nancy offered us nail polish when we realized that we had forgotten some and none was available in the town. She was so quick with our hair and was able to work with all of our different types of hair. This was an all around absolutely wonderful experience working with Nancy at Apres-ski hair design! Nancy did our daughters wedding a couple weeks ago. She is very professional with a very personal touch. We had decided to do everyone’s hair at the salon, although she did offer traveling to our B&B we opted to go there because of space reasons. The girls had a local deli cater a small intimate party while at her shop, nice added touch! It’s hard enough planning a wedding but an out of state wedding can be extremely stressful, Nancy made this a smooth process. From our first call to Nancy we were confident she would be perfect. Although we had some rain the day of the wedding all of the girls hair styles stayed in place and looked beautiful. We were so pleased with Nancy and her services we invited her to fly out to our next daughters wedding. We highly recommend Nancy to anyone looking for wedding services! I went to Apres Ski hair design while in Grand Lake, Colorado. I thought Nancy was very warm and welcoming. Nancy asked if I had a hair Style in mind that I was wanting. I am a 40+ female and have had the same hair style for years. I told Nancy to do what she wanted to my hair to have it look good on me. Nancy gave me bangs and highlights along with with an up to date hair style. I got lots of compliments from my co- worker and friends on how great my hair looked along with people telling me how much younger I looked. Thanks Nancy for doing such a great job.

Came in from Texas for casual outdoor wedding in Grand Lake. My first and only visit was morning of wedding. Nancy was wonderful to work with. I don’t wear much makeup, nor ever curl my hair. She made my makeup look natural yet just enough for taking pictures. I got lots of compliments. I also asked Nancy’s opinion on where to get married since our original plan didn’t work. She was great in suggesting a place for getting married and also a place to celebrate afterwards. She became my Grand Lake wedding planner! Her price fit my budget well. I can say this now but for the quality of service, she should charge more. She doesn’t run a small town business with little experience or knowledge. She’s very good!

I moved from out of state, where I had the same stylist for years and years; when you find talent, you stick with it, right? Wow, did I ever get lucky in finding Nancy and choosing her to be my new stylist in my new state. I have a short haircut that I want cut “just so” around my ears, on the sides/back, and on top. I was curious how well Nancy would do on my first visit … she nailed it! I am a happy, happy client of hers and I look forward to trying additional services from her, beyond haircuts.

My 69th birthday and family reunion in Grand Lake was coming up, and I needed a haircut fast. I called Nancy at Apres Ski Hair Design after Googling hair salons and liking what I read about her in the reviews. Nancy answered my call right away and made an appointment for me that afternoon (July 14). After discussing what I wanted, she suggested brightening up my highlights, which I agreed to. Wow! Nancy got the color perfectly! I’m naturally a “dishwater blond” and Nancy was able make my hair look a pretty “silver and gold” blond. She also cut my hair so that it looked really good–healthy and shiny with lots of body. I have slightly curly hair, so I was dubious about how my hair would look if I didn’t blow dry it. No problem–Nancy offered to make any adjustments if I didn’t like the way it looked in two days. And guess what, I STILL like it! It’s not often you get someone who can both cut AND color. And even though I live on the Front Range, I’d go back to her for my next haircut. I highly recommend Nancy at Apres Ski hair Design.

My haircut from Nancy was a very enjoyable experience. What do you say to someone about to cut your hair? I want to look like Brad Pitt, 2 inches off, side a little shorter than the top? I honestly don’t know, I do know I have a pretty traditional way of styling my hair and Nancy nailed it! She told me she did weddings in the Summer, but works with her clients all winter!! Thats total dedication, and I believe it. Very friendly and easy to converse with, $15 cut.

I used Apres Ski Hair Design for my wedding and I am SO glad I did. Nancy, the owner, created a masterpiece on my head. She did a gorgeous up-do which was exactly was I was looking for and I could not have been happier on such an important day. I showed Nancy pictures of what I was looking for and she nailed it. Not only that, but the rest of the bridal party looked fabulous as well. My hair stayed looking beautiful all night long, even after a windy boat ride in the afternoon. I cannot recommend her enough. Nancy did my hair and make up for my wedding day. I was the only one receiving services that day and was very thrilled with the results. My hair was every thing and more that I wanted it to be. I showed her a picture of what I was interested in and she took it even further. My make up was also beautiful, I had never had air brush make up before and it turned out gorgeous.
