New to the area. from Hollywood. Was hoping to make this my spot. Came in for a haircut, left without one. Two hrs go by after the fact that I asked him if I needed an appointment, mind there was only one person in the shop getting a hair at the time . I would have gladly booked but he insisted He took walk ins but people Kept walking in after the fact he told me I was next after the second person. I got up and he said he needs to honor his appointments. So he asked me to wait again. Shortly after Lady walks in with two kids. She said I have an appointment. All he had to say was to make an appointment if he was gonna just push my time back. One thing I hate is people not honoring their word let alone wasting my time and than he tried to justify it in front of his appointments by saying he didn’t say that…. I’m an audio engineer my job consist of hearing. Had to leave for a show I’m playing in la to make time for SOUNDCHECK, Thanks for wasting my time man . You earned this.

Such an excellent time. The nostalgia, the berber himself, the experience.It is rough finding the right barbershop, but when you do, stick with it. Any time I can make it back to AV this will be the place I come for a cut. Hands down every time.

Max the owner is a great guy. Gives great cuts and gives a drink while cutting your hair. A unique and fun experience. His shop clearly looks like someone took time and pride in the 50s decor. Come check the place out, would hate for it to go under because it’s undiscovered.
