Great salon and great staff. Basile is my stylist. He is honestly the best stylist I’ve ever had. I won’t go to anyone else after him. I have waist-length wavy (2C) medium thick hair and it can be a challenge for a lot of stylists. Basile is a world class stylist and I trust him with my hair entirely. If you’re thinking about booking at Anthony Garubo, definitely do it and definitely request Basile.

I am extremely Disappointed. I had long , beautiful & healthy hair. I loved my hair length. Before getting the hair cut, I took few sample pictures of exact hair cut that I wanted and showed to Basile (the hair stylish).He kept telling me that long hair in general is not SEXY and my long hair is definitely NOT SEXY. No one looks at long hair. I still made it very clear that I do not want short hair and definitely will not compromise with the length of my hair. Only trimming at the bottom is ok. In nutshell. Despite of me showing him the exact picture He did what he wanted. He didn’t give me the haircut I was looking for and I lost more then 60% of my hair. After the hair cut was done, I felt that my hair cut on my face was not aligned and When I tried telling him , he completely shut me off saying ‘everything looks perfect, don’t even look in the mirror or say anything, you look great’ . I was speechless. I didn’t feel like seeing myself in the mirror. My entire family was shocked seeing my haircut. It was a disaster. I wish it was a bad dream but now nothing can be done. I have lost the length of my hair , it’s gone very thin and now I have to live with this bad haircut. The stylish should listen to the customer and NOT do things as per what he wants. End of the day it’s the customer who lives with that bad haircut and not the hair stylish.

Basile listened to me and honestly explained how the picture of the haircut I wanted will look like on me. I have thick hair and wanted a long pixie cut. I explained my concerns about it looking to big and bulky but he was able to exceed my expectations with a beautiful trimmed cut. Thank you!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI cannot recommend Anthony Garubo Salon enough. I have been coming here for over 17 years and have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is extremely professional, efficient, friendly, and create a fun atmosphere. Everyone does an amazing job- from the girls up front who always work with you to arrange your appointments, to the pro’s providing the services. Nick is the real deal- he is my hair stylist and makes every appointment so fun. He takes his time and really listens to what you are looking to get out of each session as well as putting in his professional opinion to make sure you come out looking like a million bucks. I can’t recommend him enough. I get asked by friends and family all the time who I go to- It’s always Nick. The staff is extremely professional, efficient, friendly, and create a fun atmosphere. Critical: ValueFront end staff was completely insensitive to my emergency situation not even acknowledging what I was going through.. just went straight to telling me that the policy is that they would have to charge me full price because I didn’t cancel 72 hours in advance (as if this wasn’t a clear emergency that I just explained to them) i felt like I was speaking to a robot instead of a human with good decency..although I had to find a way to make arrangements and force myself to go to the appointment as upset as I was, Rachelle definitely made up for the horrible experience that I had with the front end staff. She was so compassionate and attentive to my needs at that time and did what she needed to do to make sure she got me out of there in good timing so that I could go back to tending to my emergency. She was fast and her results were amazing for my long over due loc retie. 3 months ago I was able to give a positive review. I had a cut more recently with someone new that left me with bloodied scratches on my neck. I would expect such mistakes at supercuts but for $50 haircuts, everyone should know this is the standard of service. Haircut
