I was thoroughly impressed with this barbershop. The atmosphere here is amazing. Makes it feel like you have stepped into a barbershop within the projects of Chicago with that earthy neighborhood feel with pop/soul music playing at just the right level. Although it has established itself as an African American cultured shop I felt at home. Everybody working here has that brotherhood amongst themselves and no bickering amongst them.

Critical: QualityVery nice shop and great people. I went in looking to get a feminine cut, as I’ve always gotten for the past 4 years, but got a butch cut. This was more upsetting because I specifically asked for a very soft cut and to keep my “natural” lining. Not only was all of my edges in the front cut off but my natural shape in the back was also altered/cut. Very nice shop and great people. I went in looking to get a feminine cut, as I’ve always gotten for the past 4 years, but got a butch cut. This was more upsetting because I specifically asked for a very soft cut and to keep my “natural” lining. I moved out here from California a few years ago & took my son to hella shops in the west valley & never returned after my son left looking like a army recruit or a samurai warrior but since I hit this spot about a year ago I only bring my man here now. He’s had about 4 different barbers in this joint do his cut & his fade is always on point. Good vibe, good barbers

Critical: ProfessionalismDecided to take my son after reading a few reviews. However my experience was very unpleasant! I called to inquire about availability. They told me it was walk in only. So I arrived and was 4th on a list that they paid no attention too. Several people were seen before us and even a lady who walked on about an hour afterwards stating she had an appointment. It was very frustrating and a big waste of time. Wish they were more consistent and professional. Not sure why there is a sign up sheet if its not going be honored.
