Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalismi called around 11 and they squeezed me in at 1. i’m very very pleased with my nails, the lady doing my nails was singing and her voice was amazing. it was a light hum but beautiful, she was gentle and caring she also had somebody before me than she did me without a break, very friendly service.Service: Acrylic nails

So I usually go to Angels to get my nails done but the last few times have been terrible! I will never go back! I went in January…I had an appointment for 12:00pm…the owner was doing my nails and she kept getting up from my station and helping other people…painting their nails, taking phone calls, filling pedicure tubs, filing other customer’s nails…at about 1:30, she put my nails under the UV lights to dry the first clear coat then disappeared for 15 minutes…apparently she decided to go in the back and eat lunch! She came back, painted the gel color on and walked away again! I was so aggravated but kept quiet until about 2:15…I said, I’ve been here for over 2 hours…I had an appointment and I have to go! I went back in April…5 people were complaining that they had made appointments and they had been there for hours! One lady even said next time, she’s just going to walk in instead of make an appointment next time because the walk-ins get served before the actual appointments! My nails looked terrible and started chipping THAT AFTERNOON! She charged me for a liquid gel fill in ($50) but literally did a quick gel polish clear coat, gel color then gel top coat! That is a GEL MANICURE without the actual manicure! They used to be good but they are so unprofessional now! They care more about how many people they can get in the door than the quality anymore!

My daughter and I went Friday for a mother/daughter day to get pedicures (she’s 12). I was enjoying myself until the lady doing my feet decided to make fun of my feet (the soles of my feet are dry and cracked because I walk barefooted at lot, it’s the coast!) and then share it with all the other employees out loud in her language and then they were all laughing hysterically. They thought I didn’t know any better because they weren’t speaking English but I had my google translator on my phone the whole time. Then, once that stopped the lady doing my daughters feet (she’s 12 years old) decided to make fun of her feet too (she has bunions which she can’t help)!! I was very angry but kept my cool so we could finish up and get out of there.

The nail tech did a fine job on my nails. The place looked clean. The issue was the tech’s behavior. The nail tech I had and the one sitting next to him repeatedly pointed and laughed at my tattoos. They wouldn’t speak English to me, even when I asked a question….but based on their facial expression and body language they were mocking and making fun of my tattoos. At least 5 points she (the tech next to mine) pointed to my tattoos or other parts of my body and busted up laughing. It was incredibly uncomfortable. It was so uncomfortable and difficult that I wanted to get up and leave. I feel I cannot come back after what really appeared like they were making fun of my appearance. I won’t ever know what exactly was said because they wouldn’t speak English to me, but it was quite obvious it wasn’t kind things they had to say.

I will not be back to this salon. Tech was nice but I had asked for the old acrylic to be removed from my natural nails & new applied. She just did a fill instead. I felt very rushed from start to finish and that was with an appt.

This place is horrible with customer service. I came in with my mom and they got to her first no problem. We both had the same appointment time. She was getting a pedicure and I was going to get an acrylic set. They told me to sit at the table and I sat and waited for an hour. No one said anything to me or even looked at me. Finally I left and told them not to worry about it. They took walk ins and people with later appointments before myself. Won’t get my business again or a positive review from me.

I am not one to bash a local business or complain over petty issues but the complete disrespect and ignorance I experienced today from the OWNER at Angel Nail Spa at Midway needs to be shared. I have visited many times over the years and think very highly of each nail technician. First thing this morning I watched him verbally accost and aggressively speak to a nail tech who had accidentally overbooked two people at the same time. (They opened at 9 and already had 7 people waiting at 9:04, so they were super busy) He put his face and fingers right in her face to not let her speak and loudly reprimanded her in front of the other 7 guests being serviced. Disgusted, I left before being serviced and called back to speak with him personally about the situation to which he told me “I have worked with vietnamese people a long time and this is how you make them understand.” I would really hate to take any business away from the hardworking employees here but also can’t imagine putting another dollar in the pocket of a verbally abusive owner. I can’t imagine having the courage to treat someone that way in front of people, let alone behind closed doors.
