Called to book a hot oil manicure and dip nail done. Was told there’s no hot oil and so was more than willing to go with a collagen hand mask instead. The lady who took my call kept putting me down for a manicure and a pedicure and I kept correcting her that it was a manicure and dip nail, with this dialogue continuing for a few seconds where I kept reminding her what I exactly wanted. I finally made it to the salon and the lady who had spoken to me in call tells me she had me down for a manicure and a basic nail polish. I tell her that I had called for a dip powder but she tells me I never said that and that she did not have any nail technician available for dip nail so if I wanted that I would have to wait an hour. I decide to go with whatever she had to offer coz firstly I did not have the time and had to run to an event and neither did I want to continue with this dialogue. A nice lady did my nails but I also noticed that she was less experienced and which is why she only did basic nail polish services. Looks like the lady who runs the place is picky with which nail technician she appoints to which customer that comes in.

This was my regular spot in Hermosa, but the past two times I haven’t felt like a ‘regular’. In short, I made an appointment for mani/pedi at the same time, got in and they told me they couldn’t do pedi until ‘someone was available’… ran out of time. I asked for gel, they did dip, told me they never can do gel on acrylic (yet someone next to me was getting it) – I don’t like dip because it’s sooo thick. Real bummer as I used to go all the time.

I’ve been coming here for years. Granted, I’m not one of those people that gets her nails done religiously, but still I’m a regular. Recently every time I have come here without an applointment the lady that manages the place has been rude, speaking to me with a bad attitude. Nail salons have always been places where you can walk-in. If there is no availability that’s fine, that’s a risk I know I’m taking. But rudeness? Come on now, you are running a customer-facing business. Makes me sad because I won’t go back anymore and it was my favorite nail salon. Nobody wants to go to a place where you get treated badly. Last time it happened I let it slide but this was one time too many. Never again.

Critical: Punctuality, Quality, ValueDO NOT COME HERE FOR ACRYLICS!! My friend bought me a mani pedi including a acrylic fill and i didn’t want to embarrass her but I never would have paid for this service. This woman basically covered over my previous nails with new acrylic (didn’t fill in the gap) and now i have super thick clumpy uneven nails with 8 of the ten still with a full gap. she managed to fill in one of the gaps and i had a broken nail so she kind of got the brand new one although it’s off set and doesn’t match the others… there are a number of nails that are filed completely unevenly on the edge ans her half moon shape i paid extra for was inconsistent and the lines were uneven. Terrible. I was correcting her I kept asking really? Are you ok eith this? To the point I had to stop because I didn’t want my friend to feel her gift was making me upset… worst set of nails period and now i’ll have to go get them redone for my big event because it looks like they were done poorly two weeks ago. I’d have been better off just having her polish my old ones. She knew they were awful and kept trying to correct me as if i just didn’t understand what she was doing.
