I went here twice for hairloss. Same as Northeast Dermatology and one of the top dermatologist in Boston. They looked through my hair like they knew what to look for and told me I had hereditary hairloss which no one is bald in my family. They told me they couldn’t do anything about it and sent me on my way.

I wasn’t going to do a review for this office. I had a wonderful experience many years ago where Dr. Terlizzi removed a cyst from my head. An easy procedure. I went back to have the same procedure done. I waited 5 weeks for this appointment with a Dr. Kumar. When I arrived I was surprised to be required to pay my copay before seeing the doctor. I walked into the room where I was asked several questions by the nurse. Then Dr. Kumar entered the examining room and introduced himself. I told him what I was there for. He explained that he would be sending me to another office to have the procedure. And proceeded to hand me a piece of paper with names of surgeons he suggested. I was in the office for no more than 10 minutes, MAYBE! Never came closer than 3 feet. Never even looked at the cysts. Shameful! Turns out his top pick of surgeon did the same thing to me. Talked me right out of the procedure. Was in the office for less than 10 minutes. Still took my copay and charged my insurance for an office visit. Horrible! After many days of deciding what to do next I called Surgical Associates who was next on his list. Well I am so sorry I wasted my time and money with Dr. Kumar and Dr. Walko. Dr. Loosmann was fantastic! Everyone was so nice and professional. I walked into the office where the nurse immediately approached me and examined my head. After a short discussion Dr. Loosmann entered the room and within 40 minutes the procedure was done. She was personable, professional and gentle. I suggest that Dr. Kumar put Surgical Associates at the top of his list!

When I called to make an appointment I was told . …they are no longer accepting medicare patients…. I have medicare and Medex !!!! I was seen there in 2015…so Im considered a new patient !!!! Really !!!!

Dr Kumar was extremely condescending, rude, and dismissive. Without any examination, medical history, or testing he told me my ongoing severe scalp issue was “from me picking it.” He gave me another round of doxycycline after telling him that had not worked twice. Very disinterested in hearing what I had to say or doing any exam. Well, I went to Brigham and Womens and they did a biopsy. I have a scarring alopecia calling folliculitis decalvans that needs immediate treatment. Job well done.

My son was given a recommendation for a different dermatologist. We waited 3 weeks for the appointment and then 2 days before the appointment the dermatologist cancelled. I started calling around to see if anyone had any availability. I stumbled across Andover Dermatology. The receptionist was so accommodating and was able to get us in the same day! Not only that, but the Dr. was so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Have us recommendations to help, and save money in the long run! Very thankful the other dermatologist cancelled or I would have never found this Gem!

I made an appointment and went in the office to check the moles on my body. The doctor took less than 5 minutes in and out, just said couple of sentences and took a brief look. It cost about $103 after insurance

Andover Dermatology is terrible! It doesn’t care or take seriously its patients. Just like others have mentioned, No diagnosis given, waisted time and money. I took my daughter to three scheduled appointments and still waited over 45 minutes each visit to be seen. The receptionist is awfully rude. They just don’t care!

My elderly parents went to Dr Kumar because my father has seborrheic keratoses on his face which is preventing him from being able to shave safely. After a long wait, Dr Kumar asked them what they expected him to do about the spots. He made them repeat their concerns several times and then informed them that the insurance wouldn’t cover it. They were sent there because the insurance would cover it. He grudgingly proceeded to spray a few of the spots, while telling them he wasn’t getting paid for this, so if they come back again they would need to bring cash. My mother spent over 40 years in the medical field and has dealt with many doctors. Dr Kumar is one of the rudest people she has ever met. She won’t let me call the office to put in a complaint, because she doesn’t like to make a fuss, but people need to be aware of doctors like this and avoid them.

I had an emergency visit that your staff was kind enough to squeeze me in. Dr. Kumar was so friendly and did a great job of explaining different treatment options. I felt like he really listened and ultimately let me work with him to determine the best course of action. I would highly recommend him and this office and have already made an appointment for my 4 year old son as they also have pediatric treatments 🙂 Thank you to Dr. Kumar and the kind staff!
