Do not recommend this salon. Be cautious of getting your hair washed at the salon. I had relaxer in my hair which was mixed in with their shampoo. After my wash a few days later, my hair was falling out and broken. It smelled just like relaxer and some pieces were straighter than others. I have not used relaxer in my hair for 2 years and it all went down the drain. I am still trying to get rid of the relaxer smell on my hair and this was months ago. So irresponsible of the staff. Not to mention the owner was the one who washed my hair that day!

I went to this salon to try out their blow outs. I got a wash and set, but i brought my own hair products. Overall all they did a great job. Anna the owner did my blow out. She did not use a flat iron which i loved! Great place for a wash and set with a great price. I will be going back soon.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityThe lady that cut my daughter’s hair was nice and she did a good job but the owner was rude from the moment we walked in. As soon as we walked in the owner didn’t even greet us, she was just so rude to us like if we were wasting her time.I had called earlier in the day and said I would be there around 5 to take my daughter for a haircut. We got there at 5:10, they close at 6 so as soon as we walk in the owner says the other lady can cut my daughter’s hair but no wash and dry only cut. We got there at 5:10, they had more than enough time to wash, cut and dry my daughter’s hair since they were not closing for 50 min. I said fine I understand you are closing just cut it. I decided to stay for the cut because I didn’t have time to go elsewhere. I should have walked right out, the way the owner kept staring at us. At the end she charged me $25 for the cut without even drying or washing. I handed her the money and she didn’t even say thank you or thanks for coming or even goodbye. She was so rude! She will never get any money from me ever again. I rather spend more at a salon where the owner is at least a professional and knows how to treat her customers. We went to have our hair done and it seemed as though because we were not with an adult they were taking several people ahead of us. People came in after us and left before us. I spoke to the owner and she claims everyone came in at the same time which is definitely not the case. Tell me when is the last time you spent over 5 hours in a Dominican hair salon. Especially when you arrive early in the morning. I’m very disappointed as I have been coming to Ana’s for many years.

I love this salon! I notice first timers and those less assertive tend to be nervous. It always helps to call ahead so you can go first,but you learn how to work your way around the salon over time. Another tip, If you are very sensitive to heat, let them know ahead of time, so they can place you with someone who is prepared to go easy. This is the only salon I go to after a long search this is definitely the best salon in White Plains.

While this business can do a really good relaxer. They are horrible at trimming hair. The stylish told me that I just needed a “little” trim. She ended up trimming off almost 2 inches of hair. I had grown out my hair so well and now i can show any proof of that cause the stylist just hacked it off. Don’t go to this place for a trim. I’m very disappointed.

I recently moved to the area and wanted to get services locally because I work three jobs. I went to one lady a couple of time to get my clip in extensions installed. First of all they charged me $100 which was insane since I came withy hair washed majority of the time. But hey I figured I’ll just pay for convenience. The third and last time I came the service was terrible. I came one Wednesday and the lady who did the extentions was not there. I was told to come back tomorrow in the night. I came Thursday after work around 6:20p. The lady was there but Madame Ana turned me away because it was 6:20 and it was only her and the extention lady. Madame Ana says come back tomorrow at 9am. For the extentions you need to come early. I swallowed my anger and told her okay I’ll come but if something happens tomorrow I’m not coming back. She kinda shrugged me off but I ignored her. I came Friday at 10:40a. The extention lady wasn’t there. All I got was a nonchalant I’m sorry. I asked if she knew any one else who did extentions she just shook her head nonchalantly. I guessy money wasn’t good enough for them. The unprofessionalism and attitude is uncalled for. Do not support this salon. They walk around in designer clothing with our money but then treat us like garbrage.

I have been a customer for about 16 years. Can’t tell you how many times Ana’s has nursed my hair back to health, because I took “breaks” (no pun intended) along the way. They CARE for my hair and are careful what they put in it. I trust their advice about my hair, and entrust the care of my hair to Ana’s. The key is CONSISTENCY in hair care.
