It is a “controlled-trauma” treatment similar in theory to microdermabrasion but without the use of suction or abrasive crystals. I saw Gerard for deep tissue massage. I’m a cyclist, and wanted my hamstrings, glutes, and lower back focused. I feel SO much better than when I came in. Gerard did an incredible job listening to my body’s response to pressure and movement. If you’re movement oriented I highly suggest seeing Gerard for deep tissue work!

This place was VERY nice, the fanciest massage place I’ve ever been to (and I regularly get massages). I got a couples massage for my partners birthday. Booking was easy online a couple weeks beforehand. The prices are pretty darn high. Once you arrive they have you undress in a changing room with lockers and put on a robe and sandles. Unfortunately the robe didn’t fit (one standard size, not for plus sized people) which was very awkward. There’s a waiting room full of people in robes waiting to be taken back, which also felt awkward. I will say because of the changing room situation (one small nook behind a curtain) you have to wait since lots of people get there at the same time. So, I was about 15 mins late to my massage which is a big waste of time and money. I wish I’d known about the changing room situation beforehand so I could arrive earlier (also note that you CAN enter earlier if you have the first appointment at opening).

The aesthetician did the message with gloves, no body likes to get the facial with a rubber glove. She also did not do the head message, she only message the head band. I booked an appointment for gemstone massage and it was exactly like the signature massage and even then the time she spent on my skin was May be 30 mins. If both are exactly same why do you charge more money for one over the other? I get facial every month and this massage has made one thing clear for me, Never to go to ananya spa ever again. I have been there before and Shani worked on my skin and she was good. No complains with her, but Minorka I would never recommend anybody. Overall I did not come out feeling good after the facial and I want to go somewhere where I get treated well and a facial without gloves.
