Steve is great, the haircut is pretty good too. Hours are somewhat limited and he only takes very early morning appointments. He is fast, efficient, gives a good cut at a bargain price, and provides good conversation.

I was just in the area for a couple of weeks but found the barber shop on Google maps which was easy to find but was located in an unusual place as it was in a second story hallway that was accessible via an exterior metal staircase but once you walk in the shop it was your usual barber shop. The barber allowed me to walk in without an appointment, was very friendly and did an excellent hair cut with what little instruction that I gave him to work with. The conversation was great without touching on any hot buttons like politics or COVID and came naturally. All in all I would drive 45 minutes out of my way to go back for my next haircut if I’m passing through on the freeway.

Here on vacation and needed a haircut. Searching for local barbers and came across Str8 Edge, Steve was from Canton where I call home so I trusted his work. Walked right in at open, sat down and had great conversation from the start. Shop was clean and very sanitary (during Covid-19). Haircut turned out to be exactly what I needed and looks great.

I went to this shop a couple of years ago and got a great haircut. I went back today and got another great haircut. Steve is a terrific barber and now that I will be coming to HHI more frequently, I intend to make a visit to Steve for a haircut one of things I do when I come to the island. Steve’s shop has an easy, comfortable feel , friendly conversation and reminds me of the shop I went to growing up. Always tough to find a great barber, very happy to have one here on HHI.
