Amy’s African Hair Braiding

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityThe owner Amy/Sarah VERY unprofessional and at times rude. I only trust Mimi with my hair she’s sweet, gentle, and professional but unfortunately if Sarah doesn’t ok them to braid your hair they can’t. I called to make an appointment for my daughter. The appointment time I was told was 10 a.m. I made sure my daughter was there on time. I got off work at 4 p.m. and when I got to the shop they were just now starting on my daughter’s head. My baby was there from 10 a.m. until late evening for no reason at all. Instead of apologizing and being professional Amy/Sarah gets loud and argues with me that I am wrong as a client for being upset about my young teenage daughter sitting there all day waiting. She jacks up the prices as she feels each time I pay different. I only liked this shop because of Mimi because its always chaos. I would only recommend if you are going to Mimi. I have been a faithful client for more than 15 years never complaining about how unprofessional it is because they are the only braiders I know.Unless you’re going to Mimi I don’t recommend this shop at all. The owner Amy/Sarah VERY unprofessional and at times rude. I left my 8yr old daughter at 11a.m. to get cornrows done and they didn’t finish her hair until 7p.m.They didn’t call me and let know of the change and they were so unprofessional.
