I give one star because before they even started on my hair the young girl in their said she couldn’t do it because my hair was to short and that she only likes doing knotless it’s not about what u like it’s what u know , so I couldn’t get the style I wanted no worries I just got something else for the same price and had to wait on somebody else to do my head , as I was preparing to leaving & was paying for payment I remember the lady while she was dipping my hair that I will be paying with card always told the lady on the phone & she said she will refer cash but if I only have card it’s fine , the card machine was saying “ phone line needed to be added “ like they card machine wasn’t hooked up all the way or something so I told the lady we can wait til my mother get here so she can try her card which has a chip on it instead she said that was fine , they tried they card multiple times it didn’t work by trying all these transactions when I got home later that night I was charged $180 after I payed on cash app I asked the lady their did they have cash app and she demanded me to “ call amie that’s not my problem “ rudely when it was their problem it was never my problem on my end and close and left and left only the lady who did my hair I can say I only give 1 star because the lady who did my hair was very kind and move very quickly on my head in time for me to make it to my event ..

I got my hair braided at the shop as a walk in during the evening around 6 o’clock. I was thankful that a salon near my area was still accepting walk ins so late in the evening. I explained the style I wanted and Amy was able to do that in about 4 to 4 1/2 hours. The shop was clean and everyone seemed to get along well. The only “downside” is she braids really tight, it’s a good thing because they’re going to last; however, they might also take your edges lol, my scalp is a little raw near the side part. She laid my edges and put my hair in a neat bun once she was done, my style only cost $100.00. I will be going back whenever I need my hair braided again.

Critical: QualityI went around 10 this morning to see if they had any openings. She took my number down and called back within 15 minutes saying I could come in at 2pm. I arrived at 2pm to get knotless box braids. The young lady started my hair around 2:30. After a few braids I noticed how slow she was moving and I knew I didn’t want to be there all day. After about an hour she had only installed 5 braids. She was an amateur braided which is something I’ve never experienced at an African braiding salon. I ended up paying $40 for the 5 braids in my head and leaving. Once I got home to remove them, they literally unraveled in my hands. Very poor quality and extremely SLOW! I recently got braids there. I have a daughter who has been going for over a year. I must say my service was outstanding. I normally only speak with Amy who is always kind and professional, but I recently had my braids done by Cassie who did an awesome job. It has been two weeks and my hair still looks neat with no bumps. I was treated so nice I just had to share .

I am visiting from out of town and decided to get my hair braided. As a first time client my experience was not the best. When I first started to get my hair done, one of the ladies was doing the work sloppy and when advised that it looks different from the secondary one helping to complete my hair. She had the worst attitude when having to take the hair down. The lady who completed my hair was nice however when I got home and woke after placing my bonnet on. I was lifting to check my hair and one of the braids just slipped out. Not even 24 hours of getting my hair done. I am not even going to waste my time going back there tomorrow get it corrected. I am going to wait until I get home.

Think I found a new braid shop to call home… Got my twist done today and I absolutely looooove them… Amy was very nice and professional, everyone them was very nice and made me feel so welcome. My braids I very neat and so super tight like most places. They definitely have a repeat customer. I highly recommend Amy’s shop

They did my wife’s hair after 3 weeks the braids was falling out, used some sticky glue all in her hair was itching her the whole time had to cut her hair from all the glue , HORRIBLE wouldn’t recommend this service to absolutely to anyone ! Stay away! Braids

Amy is simply THE BEST. Beautiful SPIRIT & great talent. I am a licensed Stylist, I’ve lived in NY all my life & use to get my hair braided in Harlem ( they were very good), but Amy’s skills are better. My daughter’s & I are never disappointed. She also cares about the hair health because she doesn’t braid tight where your hair bulbs come out. She is the first person that has ever braided our hair & we can style IMMEDIATELY with our pain.
