It’s was horrible I had to ask her to redo the front of my hair because my parts was extremely too big all threw my hair & I was not happy at all I knew something was wrong when Amy the owner started at 10:30am & was done by 4:30pm ..And I payed $240.00 for my hair if you couldn’t do the job You could of told me & on top of that my braids are short & I have a voice mail of our conversation and she do not wanna fix my hair.& It was today 8-2-22 & I just left the shop it haven’t even been a 1hr &she refuses to fix my hair. I called today as of 08-03-22 @ 1:30pm for Amy the owner to fix my hair & she said she would call me later & she’s not in the shop today at all & I have my recipt as well

Amy’s African Hair Braiding leaves much to be desired. She is super unprofessional and rude. Initially, she comes across as nice but turns on the drop of a dime. She is late and makes clients wait for hours. Her prices increase when you arrive. She is loud and talks about you in her native tongue. When you ask for a specific person, she says yes only to find out the person you asked for is not there. The braiders are mediocre at best. Dont waste your time.

Very unprofessional. I called on a Friday asking if I could get my 2 boys hair braided on Sunday because they do take walks in. Amy told me to call her at 11am Sunday and she’ll tell me what time they can come. I call exactly at 11:00 am she kept saying how it’s back to school time and she can’t fit them in and how she has even more appointments from the last time we spoke on Friday. If she has booked more appointments for that Sunday, after speaking with me that means she could have allowed me to schedule the appointment right then and there when we spoke Friday. Also, she should not have told me to call at 11am and then say she would tell me what time they could come only to say she can’t take them. She should have just told me no on Friday, I would have respected that and that way I would have had time to find another braider. I’ll never return there again. There are too many other options here in stl and they’re more professional.

Over Charge and they do a fast sloppy job. Don’t go there…. Warning if you don’t like it they get mad . When you tell them to take it out they cut your real hair .. I if you bring your own hair the will steal what you don’t use keep your hair in your eye sight. All around bad business business. VERY RUDE OVER PRICED AND REALLY DON’T DO A JOB

When I went to my appointment Amy was arguing with another customer because she told this lady she could do one thing over the phone when she made an appointment just to tell her she could not and offered her another style in which the person who was scheduled to do my hair could only do. And told me she had someone else who could do my hair. I declined people work and time is valuable this was an example of pure quantity vs quality and I will not be returning to Amy. I had to work the next day so I had to figure out something else. I scheduled an appointment and requested a particular individual to braid my hair Amy stated she would have this person to braid my hair. When I went to my appointment Amy was arguing with another customer because she told this lady she could do one thing over the phone when she made an appointment just to tell her she could not and offered her another style in which the person who was scheduled to do my hair could only do. I left came back they had just reached the top. I asked Amy about it again and she said they would be fine they would not come out. Sooo 2days later twist begin to slide off. Call Amy she says give it a week or so and she would fix them. Three weeks later she has an opening and charges $140 to fix what she messed up. Their work is good but they are a rip off. DO NOT GO TO THEM!! She comes off very nice but she is slick she just wants your money. The $400 wasn’t a problem. I had plans on going back til she pulled that second stunt. She told me to come on a certain day ( which i thought Amy was the one braiding my hair it was another lady) Amy stated she didn’t do senglese twist until i actually got to the shop. i had to wait for the lady to arrive , she had an attitude & she was very aggressive doing my hair & just turning my head w/o asking me can i move it a certain way & then i showed them a picture of how small i wanted it they still still did it how they wanted to .
