I just started going to this barbershop after using super cuts for years. Very glad I did! The two times I’ve been to Amstel it’s been pretty busy, but they work efficiently getting clients seen. I like that I don’t have to make an appointment. I show up and they take whoever is next based on order of who came in. Doesn’t take long at all. I’ve liked the cuts I’ve gotten so far, and will continue to come back!

Great haircut. They say fast walk-in service on the sign and they mean it. I walked in the same time as another customer on s Saturday afternoon and neither of us even sat down to wait. The shop was well lit and clean. Good prices and good service. I had Rob cut my hair and he did a great job. I’ll be back.

Made my 5 year old first visit to barber shop a nightmare, Even though I asked the associate to use only the scissors, she kept on insisting to use the machine. She started scaring him with scissors i.e it will cut you, its going to hurt with scissors. She just wanted to use machine to make her life easy. My son isn’t a big fan of machines so I wanted to get him comfortable at barbershop with scissors so eventually he can get his hairs done with machine. I have been trying for so long to convince him to go to the barber and he finally did, but your associate (I don’t know her name she had green hairs) did not help making that situation better, instead she made it worst. I hope she can learn that kids need a little more time to get used to of things.

I have always gone to another barbershop in Middletown and settled for a mediocre experience. I discovered Amstel was close to my place and they do walk ins. So I walked in and Christina gave me an incredible skin fade. Ill tell you ive tried gettinf skinfades everywhere else and the experience wasnt so great. Im not picky, but The experience at amstel was very pleasant and christina was awesome at making conversation and very personable. Great customer service and beautifully clean barbershop. Im sold on first impression.This is my new spot!

This barber shop is my go to in Middletown. If I had to get a fresh cut for something really important like a wedding, job interview, or whatever, I’m going to Amstel. I usually get a haircut and bread trim. Always looks perfect. I’ve had my haircut by everyone working there and they all do a great job. Happy I found a place I can trust.

Also, the comb, scissors and clippers were not sanitized. When I asked her to clean them, she did a half-baked effort without any real intent.
