I’ve been a member of Amps for at least 6 years and have never been informed that minutes expire. I was told today that I couldn’t use my remaining 15 minutes as they had expired on 15th April. The girl just stared at me when I questioned it, no apology or explanation. Won’t be returning. There are other tanning salons in town.

Seems to be a safe environment.Most of the desk clerks are personable and knowledgeable alike.The specials are the best bet; single visits are expensive.Decent establishment and the owner Sue is very delightful alike.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Sue’s at AMPS for over 9 years, and at one point even worked for her untill I went to college so I know for a fact that she always has her clients best interest in mind. Anyone who thinks otherwise obviously doesn’t know her very well. The beds are always super clean the prices are great and the staff is more than helpful and courteous. Sue always has some kind of deals or specials going on and with such a wide variety of lotions and beds what’s not to love?!!! You couldn’t pay me to go anywhere else!

They have a lot of different beds that I didn’t even know existed so that is pretty cool. I don’t have the time to warrant buying a package so I pay by the visit. That is good in itself because some don’t do that but they usually want to only put me in one for 7 minutes and I have to firmly request at least 10 then sign a waiver. I understand they don’t want to be held liable if I insist on broiling myself alive but the lady I delt with was pretty irritated by my request.

I went here for a couple years, but finally tore my member card up due to continuous rudeness from employees, arguments over ‘8’ minute tanning vs 12 minutes, the fact that i have more knowledge of tanning beds then high school girls with little education. The owner is quite demanding of the rule that you must show them your tanning lotion, and if deemed unfit for her salon, you must hand it over and receive a discount on the purchase of salon-approved lotions behind the counter which does not sound legally correct to me. I dislike this salon above all others, and will never return.

Amps has nice beds, great spray tanning booth although instructions can be confusing, & convenient location. Only 3 stars given because of the initial tanning time limit. After signing a wavier to tan the full time, I was still pestered by the employee about reducing my tan time. 1 of the younger employees was rude and unpleasant to deal w/ but this was an isolated incident.
