I absolutely love Ami’s Nail Salon! It’s the very first salon I went to when arriving to the island and has kept the same quality and level of detail. I was actually surprised that Ami remembered me, as I had not been back in months after my first visit. When I walked in, she and the staff greeted me as if I had never been away! James did my nails today with gel polish and he was so gentle and thorough. He took his time to trim my cuticles perfectly, no discomfort whatsoever! His nail polish job is on point too. My nails are always short and I feel like past salons give me a hard time about doing a good job on short nails. James was amazing and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely go back and see him again! The salons gel polish is a little warm on the nail under the light something that has bothered me at many nails salons but I’m very sensitive and have only found 1 salon that has carried a gel that didn’t irritate my nail-bed when under the light. Just wanted to share that part of the experience just incase someone wanted to know to help them decide on their gel. But it wasn’t the worst I’ve felt either, very tolerable.

Uodate Jan 28, 2020. Lynn is no longer here. I went to another lady who uses glasses. She didnt understand not a word of English and she completely messed up my pedicure. She even messed up my nail bed on my ingrown toenail which I had to have surgically removed after this. The entire time that she’s doing my feel I was thinking to myself how could anyone trust her with sharp object’s? This place is dirty and it needs a good cleaning. I do not recommend this place after my experience.

Really disappointed because they had good reviews. 1.) They took us 40 mins late for an appointment. 2.) She forgot to do my massage on the DELUXE pedi (which costs $10 more and is supposed to include a longer leg massage). When I mentioned it to her, as she’d already started painting my nails, she took the polish off and started on the massage. I timed her…from 1146 until 1149 is how long she took to massage BOTH legs and it was more just rubbing on lotion than a massage. 3.) When she was putting my sandals on, she nicked my pinky toe with her long acrylic nails. She looked and saw what she did but continued trying to put my sandals on and never addressed it! So I told her she messed it up and she said “oh!” as if she hadn’t noticed.

Came in for the mani pedi special for $35. The pedicure was fine but she seemed distracted. When I got to the manicure she messed up several times and at the end of it there was a lot of air spots. Additionally, the shop was dirty. Don’t recommend

I’ve been here 2 times ( both walk-ins ) , the first time I had gotten a full acrylic set done by Ami & it lasted 5 weeks no lifting whatsoever. I absolutely loved them. Recently, I came back because I was so impressed with the service last time but again just walked in. This time they were busy , so I had to wait for about 15-20 minutes I didn’t mind. I feel like I had gotten a new nail tech because she had taken extra time doing each step. I was impressed up until I walked out the door . She had asked me if I had wanted gel arcylic powder & since I thought they were going to last a long time I said sure why not. 1 week later …. I was taking off my hair tie & bam it flys off. I continue to look at my actual nail and usually there would be a indent of where the arcylic had started but there wasn’t any sign of that. Not to mention my middle , thumb , and ring finger were not even close to looking identical. I know I should have called prior to me coming to the salon , but I feel like if your running a business you should have all nail techs as good as the owner before you put them out to do other customers nails. If you do come here , my only other suggestion is that you request to get it your nails done specifically by Ami herself & call ahead.
