During COVID I decided it was time to try a new hair stylist AND a new hair color….both were great decisions and I haven’t looked back for a second. Tina is an amazing colorist and I rarely go a day without someone commenting on my rainbow hair! (Today, a guy yelled at me across a parking lot, “RAD HAIR!”). In addition, Tina makes me feel super comfortable in her chair and is just an all around great human. The culture/atmosphere in Amethyst is so welcoming and safe and I feel lucky to be a customer of such a great establishment. It’s no fluke that Tina is regularly voted top hair stylist in Eugene. Her work speaks for itself and, at least in my case, it yells “RAD HAIR!”

Recently switched to this salon and I’m so glad I did! I booked a trim and a root touch-up with Kati, and they scheduled me at the end of her day so we could take our time with my first appointment, which was so nice. I really appreciated the gentle touch with lightening my dark brown hair, and the music choice was pretty killer too. 🙂

Kati has been my stylist for a few years now & every visit to the salon i leave with the best hair I’ve ever had. We always do vivids and have covered pretty much every hair cut imaginable over the years and its always executed impeccably! The salon itself is super cozy, cute and all the stylists are friendly and welcoming. I also appreciate their dedication to safety throughout an ongoing global health crisis. I have endless good things to say about Amethyst 10/10 highly recommend ✨️

Getting my hair done by Kati is always the hilight of my month. I give her full creative control and they’ve never let me down! The atmosphere in the studio is always and it’s always a delight to see Tina, Faye, and Sam as well! I also appreciate being recommended products specifically for my hair needs and being able to purchase them through Kati. I greatly appreciate everyone’s covid precautions and the cleanliness. 10/10 would recommend

As a newbie to Eugene i went through a few hair stylists and was so happy when I found Amethyst. The hair stylist are knowledgeable about cut and color, having curly hair that is beginning to grey I feel supported by creative professionals to gracefully play with color with out getting ride of the grey. They are environmentally conscious in use of products and fair with their prices. The salon environment is friendly and professional. I always enjoy my time and leave with a cut and color that gets compliments for weeks! I have worked with both Tina and Angel and both provided amazing attention to detail making the experience relaxing and fun. I highly recommend!

Every time I go in to get my hair done, I always leave happier than expected! Tina has magic hands when it comes to vivid colors and it’s always a fun time. If you have curly hair and want to dye it fun colors this is the place to go because Tina puts in a lot of effort to make sure your curls do not get damaged while giving you the color you want

There are not enough words to express the amazing experiences I’ve had over the past couple years having Tina cut and color my hair. She truly is an artist. She approaches each project with care and attention. She is very knowledgeable and takes pride in her craft. There isn’t a specialty she hasn’t mastered and excelled in. Her studio is inviting and comfortable. she continues to create a lovely space featuring local artists. I appreciate her welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
