I give this place four stars even though I want to give five. The service was great, the people were also amazing. But in terms of quality, it wasn’t there. I got dip on my nails, and they didn’t even last a week without 3 of my nails chipping and looking awful, there were several clumpy areas as well. The lady only did two coats or I’m sure they may have lasted longer. Just overall disappointing that I paid what I did and they didn’t even look well for a week. It makes me sad as I love the nail salon but feel I won’t go back. I also got my toes done and they were also done sloppily, they had several uneven areas and just didn’t look good.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS IF I COULD! The owners/people who work there are very unprofessional. They did a terrible job on my nails and when I went back to show that the gel polish was coming off (within 3 days), one of the owners told me that the gel polish was bad and if I come back in 15 mins she will redo it. When I went back, she completely denied saying it and said it is “normal” for GEL POLISH to come off within 3 days! They are very rude- verbally and physically. When I was showing them my nails and how the polish was coming off, the owner took my hand and jerked it towards my face saying “can you see this”. I will never step foot in their salon again. Critical: QualityThis time i used a different person (supposedly the owner a female) got a gel refill which is $35. And I added chrome for $10 & ombré for all ten nails the lady charged me $20 just for ombré. So a total of $65 for a gel nail refill w/ombré & chrome. She ignored me several times when i asked the price & at the end she charged whatever she wanted saying that I told her I didn’t care about the money. Who pays $30 for ombre & chrome plus $35 for the gel refill? I also got the exact same ombre & chrome on my toes for $35 which the other nail tech did the same day( not the same person). Its a shame how she took advantage of a loyal customer. I wont go back. Its a shame i have been there several times before without an issue. The owner seen an opportunity to upcharge me to get an extra few bucks because she knew i wasnt going to tip this time because of her attitude she literally added it into the services. It wasn’t the husband & wife it was the other middle aged woman that did my nails this day. I did not want to travel to Houston everytime just to get my nails done. I finally found a great nail salon Sammie and her husband both took care of me and I was very satisfied. For us it wasn’t, as I was getting my nails done one guy and girl came at the nail tech that was supposed to do my cat/pumpkin design. Arguing while another girl was trying to finish my nails so she could do my design I walked out my nails not being completely done. I let her finish my pumpkin but I didn’t want to wait for her to do my cat design. I felt so uncomfortable he should of waited to confront her. I have been a customer of Ambience nails lounge for several months. I loved the way they did my nails. I was also very pleased with the people that worked there. That all ended today when MC did my nails. I recognized her as someone who had done my nail before and thought she had worked at the nail saloon in Walmart. I was informed that she had not worked at Walmart nail saloon. MC was very aggressive while doing my nails. I am using the term aggressive instead of rough. She kept running the electric file next to my skin causing discomfort. My reaction was to tense up. I mentioned that she was hurting me and her response was that I was tensing up and that was the reason she keep rubbing the file against my skin instead of my nail. (Sounds like admission that she had done it)She told me to look away. I did this and guess what, she filed my skin and caused pain so I said “Damn, slow down”. She raised her voice and said ” I did not cut you, there is no blood.” She slowed down and finished my nails with no further issues. After I paid and she realized she was not getting a tip she raised her voice so all could hear and said, “you cussed at me and I didn’t appreciate it”. This caused enough of a scene that I will NOT go back to ambience nails lounge. Ivy was in hearing distance of everything that happened with her employee from beginning to end and did nothing to end the situation when I first mentioned that her employee was hurting my fingers. Follow up…..I received a message from Ivy (the owner). She stated that in the past I requested MC when you or your husband were not available. THIS IS NOT TRUE..I have requested Tina only. Ivy has done my nails one time.

Chipped the next day, went back for them to fix it and they wouldn’t do the powder said they would have to charge me.
