Fine massage, no complaints. However, I was told (on my way out) a $10 tip for each half hour is obligatory. The therapist said she does not get the money that I pay for the massage and that her boss tells her she has to get tips from each customer. I told her this was very unorthodox. She said she knows and that “she was sorry”. Of course I love to tip for amazing service. This was not that and then this standoff as I was leaving seemed very sketchy. Fine to charge tips, but I personally feel you should make it known before I sign up for services: it should be on the menu, on the website, and told to people as they make the appointment. Then it’s no issue. Customers need to know what the charges are going to be before they sign up.
