Amazing Lash Studio

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI decided to give amazing lash studio a try after not being able to get in with my normal lash tech before my birthday.On 1/10 I went in to get a lash refill. During my service I was asked what type of lashes I wanted and I said I liked volume. I was not informed that volume meant an extra $30 on a $90 service (which is pretty expensive for a lash fill).The service itself was fine, but after leaving I noticed a bit of irritation developing on my left eye lash bed. Hoping for best I tried to ignore it, thinking it’d be better by the next day. Unfortunately, it progressively got worse. Come my birthday, my left eye was red, inflamed, and SEVERELY itchy. I called immediately because I knew this wasn’t normal. The soonest I was able to get in for a “medical emergency” was Friday at 5pm according to the receptionist. I asked if there was anyway to get in sooner just to get them removed since she too called it a medical emergency, but had no luck. Come to find out the reason for the irritation was due to the extensions being put on my eyelid causing some sort of infection which was confirmed by other techs there.Fast forward to Friday and my experience at amazing lash got even worse. It was evident that the lash tech I was given was not experienced or properly trained, and therefore she proceeded to attempt to remove my lashes with what felt like tweezers pulling out my real lashes with them.A service that should’ve taken 15-30 min took about an hour. The lash tech too was becoming frustrated with the time of the removal so at one point she left the room to grab assistance from another employee. When said employee arrived, her response was “has this how you’ve been doing your removals?? All you need is the solution. I’m sorry I didn’t realize you hadn’t been trained on this”. I especially didn’t like that they were talking about this lack of training as if I wasn’t in the room.The lash solution made a worlds difference in the removal service aside from the fact that it got in my eye causing more irritation to that eye.It was evident that they had every intention of charging me for this removal service up until I mentioned that they hadn’t even been on a week and it wasn’t in any way my fault that they needed to be removed. They waived the removal fee but wasn’t offered a refund in anyway and then was asked how much I wanted to tip for the service, which honestly was pretty frustrating.The staff was very friendly but overall I honestly was sooooo disappointed in this facility. Since it’s a chain business I expected the standards to be a lot higher. The recovery time for my lashes is to be determined, but at the moment it’s not looking good considering I have literal holes.As a cosmetologist myself I understand that there are different level of stylists/technicians. I do not think it’s right to charge platinum prices for beginners work.
