I’ve been here twice. Originally I was very happy because I found a nice hair dresser. My hair was cut shorter than I wanted. The hair dresser doesn’t listen when you say keep it long. Second time my hair looked like a 1980s mullet. Definitely not the look I would ever want in my life. My hair still looks awkward more than 6 months later. Also the hair dresser was late I waited 30 mins and then she rushed me out of there because she had a flight to catch. If she waited until my hair was completely dry she would have seen how ugly the mullet cut was. She gave me “layers” but it was just a mullet.

This place is terrible they are faking reviews. They only cater to Caucasian females hair types. They don’t employ workers of ethnicity for diverse hair types. They do not disclose that their product doesn’t not work for cultural hair types. Yianna does terrible diva curls she is not in any way a specialist. If you are a person of color I highly recommend you do not go to this salon!!! Additionally, when asked to fix the hair cut they were not willing to help their clients.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, ValueI went in for a “curly girl” hair cut (first time ever getting the haircut and visiting this salon) and I was a bit worried about going to a salon during covid-19, however I took the risk after speaking with the front desk person (on the phone) to assess their safety protocols. When I got to my appointment, I was very happy to see that I was the only client (it was on a Monday at 1:30p) and the place was super clean. I had the pleasure of having Yianna as my hairstylist. I had read other reviews about her on the Deva Curl website and some on other sites. She was super patient and very knowledgeable and sweet. She walked me through all the steps I needed to take to get my perfect curly girl results and she brought my limp frizzy hair back to life. I am very happy went and I felt comfortable being there. I would absolutely recommend Yianna and this salon if you are looking to revive your hair.I also really appreciated that there was no push to have you buy their products. I ended up purchasing a few, but it wasn’t pushed on me like some other Salons do. The price ($140) for the cut was also not crazy like in the city ($200+ in some places??!!). My experience here was amazing. From the point of walking in the receptionist greeted me and offered me something to drink. All the stylist were also very friendly. The stylist i went to see was Teresa. Which is a devachan educator and top stylist. She was amazing! Just when i thought i knew my hair and what it needed, she totally schooled me on it and explained just exactly what i needed to do for my very curly course hair and backed it up with all the reasoning why. Shes highly knowledgeable on curls and also gave me the best hair cut ever. I get alot of shrinkage but the way she cut it it gave me volume but length and a great shape. If your like me that does not want to make the trip into the city than this is the place to get a curly cut.

Yianni was amazing. My hair has never looked this good.I love the cut and the color is perfect. She was very friendly and worked hard to make sure I was happy. She taught me how to take care of my curls and what type of products to use. I was upset about the price. I thought the quote i got on the phone should have been honored. The staff said it was a misunderstanding. I paid the new price but was still upset. Yianni gifted me with a product I had wanted and didn’t buy because of the higher price. I thought that was very kind and proved she wanted me to leave happy. I am thrilled with my new look and will definitely go back. Yianni is worth the price.
