Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI scheduled an appointment for a pedicure. When I arrived my temperature was checked,logged and I was introduced to the nail technician Dani. She was hospitable from the start. During my service she explained the whole process step by step, was very attentive and scrubbed my feet thoroughly. I scheduled an appointment for a pedicure. When I arrived my temperature was checked,logged and I was introduced to the nail technician Dani. She was hospitable from the start. During my service she explained the whole process step by step, was very attentive and scrubbed my feet thoroughly. I enjoyed our conversation and appreciate her fun and caring spirit. The energy and vibe is amazing, makes me feel like I’m home, every time I walk in!! My nail tech Dani is the absolute best, does a great job every single time!! Aliyah and Imani do amazing pedicures and Coco is so cool and professional!! I have been coming to Alter Ego for a few months now and it is the best nail shop I’ve ever had the pleasure of going to!! The energy and vibe is amazing, makes me feel like I’m home, every time I walk in!! My nail tech Dani is the absolute best, does a great job every single time!! Aliyah and Imani do amazing pedicures and Coco is so cool and professional!! This is a black owned business I will always support!!!!

Critical: Communication, ProfessionalismI haven’t actually been to the shop but have already had a negative customer service experience with this shop which is such a shame. I am always about support Black Women Owned businesses and Black women creatives, so I write this review very dishearteningly. A friend of mine visited the shop recently, and I asked her to inquire about SNS services. Her tech first told her that they do offer SNS nail services. I was referred to the booking site to make an appointment. When I did not see SNS services listed, I called the shop to inquire and was told that they do not offer SNS services. The person that answered the phone was neither helpful nor personable and did not even greet me on the phone. It felt like my call was a nuisance. I was annoyed to be told that SNS services were not in fact offered at this salon. My friend at the shop stated that the shop no longer does SNS services as dip powder is unsanitary. Any good nail technicians should know that there is definitely a sanitary approach to applying SNS/dip powder and there are a myriad of products and tools available to sanitarily provide this service. I write this review in hopes that this business will consider training their staff to provide quality customer service to all potential clients. I am always about support Black Women Owned businesses and Black women creatives, so I write this review very dishearteningly. Critical: Professionalism, QualityCanceled my appt an hour before it was my time and there the ones who wanted a deposit they have strict cancellation policy but that’s doesn’t apply to them this was going to be my first time and I will never book or recommend anyone to do so either
