This was my first time using sugaring. I have to say that the skin feels better, and I’m glad to know that the formulation is simpler. Awura-Abena’s expertise is rare and excellent, and her warmth and kindness add significantly to the experience. I will most certainly go back to her during my time in Ithaca.

Abena is so kind. As a fellow Ghanaian, she made me feel so comfortable and she talked me through the entire session, as she knew it was my first time getting a waxing service. Loved the eyebrow wax I got here! Awura-Abena was both careful and thorough. I prefer a pretty minimal waxing and I thought she did a great job following my natural eyebrow shape. If you want something particular you may have to ask before she starts, but you’re also clearly in very experienced hands!

I had my first sugaring experience at Alta Spa. I came in for full legs and a Brazilian. Awura-Abena was absolutely wonderful! She is so sweet and very easy to talk to. She made the experience very comfortable considering the treatment is painful. I will recommend her to anyone and will definitely return for future treatments. Thank you so much!!

Awura-Abena is amazing! I highly recommend the sugaring wax. It is less painful, and causes far less skin irritation for my sensitive skin compared to standard hot wax. Awura-Abena is quick, professional, and follows COVID 19 precautions, making her clients feel safe and comfortable during the appointments.
