I absolutely love Skylar and the whole family i groom there dog sugar and have been coming into get my hair done for a year now and I honestly cannot see myself going anywhere else they are so sweet and very caring of their clients and they care of what the outcome is! Especially if you are a patient and you’re willing to work with them! They will always work with you! Skylar always does my hair and he never ceases to amaze me of the whole new haircut that I get and he does a new one every single time and does a new color and I leave it all to him and he never disappoints and his sister does amazing work as well and she even did a little cute design in my hair one time and it was absolutely amazing! And Miss Suzette does wonderful nails personally I do not do my nails all the time but she is an absolutely wonderful woman! I love this family and I will not go anywhere else

I went to aloha salon because the salon I was going to go to was closed at the time. I am new to the Farmington New Mexico area so this was my first time interacting with the salon. I went in and was trying to be courteous and have small talk with the owner who was sitting at the reception area told her that I would like to get a haircut and color, but at the very least a haircut. She was somewhat discourteous and grumpy and had to ask her son who was there if he could do the cut. He was friendly enough and did the cut and I was satisfied with it even though he did not put the layers in I requested, and I scheduled an appointment to come back the next day to get the color. This was a huge mistake! Over the two-day span of time I paid $200 and I ended up having to go to a different salon 3 weeks later to have the color fixed. The son’s name is Skyler and first he put a color in my hair and left a big chunks and died saying it would cause a natural highlight, but the only thing it did was make the hair look a pumpkin color was streaks of a lighter strawberry blonde throughout it that looked horrible. When I stated I was displeased he said he could fix it, but his solution was to take a bright red toner and put it over my entire head then leave me sitting in the shampoo chair for what was supposed to be 20 minutes but turned out to be 35. At the end of the day my hair looked horrible! Luckily the color started to fade within a week, and by the time I went to another salon it was no longer red but a putrid pink! When he was doing the hair color he didn’t even wrap the hair and foils all the way and the foils he did put, which was only about (mind you my hair goes all the way to him to the middle of my back) was sliding out and falling on my lap and on the floor. It has now cost me another $190 to fix the mistake that they made. I’m sorry to leave a bad review, I rarely do so, but this has cost me a lot of money, there’s service was not very friendly, and even the other stylist who was there was making faces because she could see how badly he was messing up my hair! I was coming to get my hair done for a very special event and instead of making it a pleasurable experience for me the only thing it did was leave me knowing that I will never go to the salon or refer the salon to anyone else ever! This individual should not be doing hair because he has no formal experience or training and he was just terrible at it. I am glad that I found a stylist at a salon in Farmington that has done a far better job fixing somebody’s horrible mistake.

This place is my #1 spot to get exactly how i want my hair to get done: trim, dye, cut.. and its always on point and reasonably priced as well. Very hard to find a good stylist who knows what their doing and how to do it professionally. Ive been getting my haircut here for a few years now from Starla and Skylar. I even took my daughter here to get her first hair trim from Skylar.
