Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI just got my nails done and had the worst experience I’ve had at a nail salon. I had a set on with one broken nail and I wanted them to be removed and replaced with a full set.The technician nicked my cuticle on EVERY single finger. Then proceeded to try to PRY the acrylics off of my nails. As far as I know that is the last thing you do to get acrylics off. It was only after I told him it hurt and suggested he use acetone when he actually did.While he used the drill to file it off, my nails quite literally burned to the point of me flinching. It was at that point when I said no the the full set I originally intended getting and said to just do polish.The polish is another story. It was applied with such carelessness. My cuticles weren’t pushed back, it’s extremely lumpy and was literally applied to my skin on some nails. It no joke looks like sandpaper.So disappointed due to the good reviews I saw beforehand.Little update: Was looking at them again and realized that they are already lifting and the lumpyness was due to the fact that it wasn’t cured all the way…. I was literally able to squeeze the gel out of it. I would absolutely love a refund or for them to fix my nails but I don’t know if I even want to go back.I just got my nails done and had the worst experience I’ve had at a nail salon. Allure is the best salon in the Lowcountry! It’s immaculate, peaceful, lovely and comfortable. Kimmy the owner is just the best nail technician ever and the sweetest girl. Kiwi is great and lots of fun. I feel fortunate to be a steady client/friend and would never consider going to another salon.
