We love Mandy! She is an excellent listener and cuts your hair exactly how you ask. She was amazing with my 3 girls especially when they were little. She could freshen and cut their hair without making it drastic or noticable. She is amazing! Now they love dramatic haircuts and she delivers this as well. Chemical burns on my scalp. Won’t be going back. She bleached me twice and I’m still orange. I would’ve much rather been told that for blonde results I needed to wait. Now I can’t even comb my hair without wincing. Also, I did complain about the discomfort.

Critical: ProfessionalismMy wife isn’t one to leave a review but I will on her behalf. About as unprofessional as it gets. She gets a text at 1PM simply saying her appointment is cancelled, then another one a week later telling her that she has an appointment in a couple of hours, one she didn’t make. I guess they work when they want to, cancel when they want to and expect you to just go along with it. She gets a text at 1PM simply saying her appointment is cancelled, then another one a week later telling her that she has an appointment in a couple of hours, one she didn’t make. I see Mandy at Allure and even though I live in the cities, I still drive out to Shakopee to see her cause she is just THAT GOOD! I get an all-over highlight and she is so quick. The other women who work here are with no doubt just as amazing. I couldn’t see the salon settling for anything less!

Allure Salon is the best ever. Because of Covid, each stylist has there own cubicle. Caycie is absolutely fantastic. I did hair for 40 years. It takes one to know one and Caycie knows and loves what she’s doing!

I called to set up an appointment. Was told that I would need to write down number of stylists and reach out to them myself. Unfortunately at the moment I didn’t have a pen and paper as I was driving, and said I would call back as soon as I came home and was able to write stuff down. Came home 20 mins later, and called about 15 mins before they were able to close to get those numbers (I had recently told them that I would call 15 or 20 mins before closing, which was the soonest that I could, and was informed that it was fine since I’m just getting numbers) . First 2 calls were answered but no one said anything, it just sounded like someone picked up the phone and hung up right away. Finally someone answered and I explained that I’m calling back for the numbers to reach out to a stylist. The answer I got was: “they’re all booked for Saturday (when I wanted to schedule) so you won’t be able to book anyway and we’re about to close so please call back another day for those numbers”. Horrible customer service, will not be going there.

So I have been buying many of my hair products from Allure. First off, it seemed like a nice local business and secondly, I am partial to a hair care line they carry. I’d like to preface this by saying that I’ve easily spent $300 in product in the past 3 months at Allure and this is the first time I’ve had an issue. On with the review… I went into Allure looking for a specific product for blonde hair, a product and line that I was familiar with, however, I did not see any. I was a little disappointed but I grabbed another product I needed and went to checkout where I asked the lady if they had any of the product and she said she didn’t think so but said she’d go check with a stylist that was in back. She came back and confirmed that they did not have any but grabbed another, more expensive product, and said that the stylist in back said that this product actually works better than the one I had come to buy. I was hesitant because I had tried another product in this line and was less than impressed which I explained to the lady. The stylist in back came out and she proceeded to gush about the recommended product, telling me I wouldn’t be disappointed. I’m a sucker and I bought the product. It’s one that can only be used once or twice a week so I didn’t actually use the product for the first time until a week after I purchased. First time I used it, I knew it was NOT similar to the product I had been using but I wasn’t actually able to return it right away being busy with a job and kids and life. Approximately 12 days later, I went to Allure to see if I could exchange the product for the one I had originally been looking for or something else that would work for me. Nope. I was told that any returns needed to be done within 7 days of purchase. When I told them (two stylists) that I didn’t see the “sign” on the table that said this they proceeded to say “we don’t handle money.” What?! I just saw one of them ring up the guy in front of me. Anyway, I will never ever buy product from them. Most all reputable beauty retailers offer a no questions asked exchange policy within 30 days, especially if the product is almost all there. Allure is very sketchy, beware.

I went in for a balayage/ombre and left with an all over color. I brought a picture of what I was looking for, and unfortunately it came out a lot worse than I thought it had turned out. I recently went back blonde from brunette, which, I might add was tough to transition to the color I wanted to achieve. I did get there by wonderful McKenna! I went back and saw Ayriel for the ombre and am very displeased. I specially wanted this style because I try on wedding dresses this weekend and wanted both colors in my hair to see what I wanted for my wedding. Now I will be going with diarrhea colored hair. It is way lighter than what I asked for and has not one resemblance of an ombre or balayage, It is one color, all over. I normally do not like to complain, but this is for something very special, a wedding decision. Now its ruined 🙁

The website says to call regarding bridal services and pricing. Left a message and a week later still have yet to hear back. Looks like I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, but judging by the reviews maybe me and my bridal party dodged a bullet.

I went there for a mani/pedi.~ The girl was very nice but didn’t know how to do it ~ over priced (paid $70 plus tip) and it’s already chipped, she forgot one baby toe, so dark back there that when I left I hated the color ~ message chair is awful, had a sore back for 2 days ~ foot message was about 1 min. per foot ~ hardly any buffing done. I called the next day (Sat) and was supposed to have a call back from the owner on Monday, they never called. Heard a few complaints from others later ~ I will not be back.
