I have gone to this nail salon in the past and had no issues, today however is a different story. I had made an appt for my three friends and I at 3:30, one of my friends came from Portland though and was 5 mins late. When we walked into the salon and said we were there for our appt they said we were late and gave it to someone else…. 5 mins late? Don’t get me wrong I try not to be late but isn’t there a 15 min grace period with appts?

This was my first time coming to this salon. My main reason for going to them was they had online booking. Personally I hate talking on the phone. So this was a HUGE plus. The availability in making an appointment was the only positive. Upon arrival, I saw the pedicure baths were in an unsanitary state with callouses and debris. We were told that didn’t matter as they use a plastic cover over that. While I was taking a glance at things, they gruffly told my blind and disabled partner to “sit down and don’t move”. And so we left. I generally don’t bother to leave a bad review- I just don’t return. I think this time it is warranted, though.

I won’t go here again, I’ve tried them 4 times and the man that works here does the most jagged, uneven nails. The polish is always streaky and see through and my nails are always obviously visibly uneven. I ask him to fix it and he thinks i want to change the colour? They’ve also been rude to me, I’m hard of hearing and they get rude or laugh at me when I don’t hear or understand them. Left today with my uneven jagged streaky nails wanting to cry. A true waste of money.

I hate to do this. But enough is enough. They have messed up my appointments twice and the last two times kept me waiting over 30 minutes. This place will not own up to there mistakes ever. Don’t bother making appointments they never honor them. Service and quality has gone down and the prices keep going Up. I have been a long time customer of April’s but I will never go back! So frustrating and disappointing.
