I have been going to this All Stars for awhile. Last week I went to get my nails done for Christmas. And I wanted the color change from what I had before, which was gel powder that I normally get. We had discuss two weeks prior and she wrote down about the color change. So that means the previous color that is on my nails needs to come off. Lily the owner of the shop did not soak the gel powder cover off. She uses a nail equipment to take the color off. I had the previous color partially on my nails. She had the nerve to put the color that I wanted which was a dark green over the previous color that I had which was orange. Then she tells the next time I come the orange won’t show because my nails will be cut down. I wanted to CUSS her out so bad. So some of my nails had the orange on them and some didn’t. That is terrible for the owner of the nail shop to do that and I felt belittled. Lily shows favoritism to her customers. She still wanted payment for doing my nails. If my mother was living she would have said we are not paying for NOTHING! As a owner every customer is suppose to be treated fairly. I am not going back to All Star Nails again. I didn’t want to show people to see my nails. If I could I would have used the right stuff to take off the gel powder I would. I take PRIDE in my nails. The BEAUTY of a woman is her hair and nails.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityLily always takes care of me. I’m very picky and she listens to what I say and always does the best work. I also have Jon do my nails too he always does a good job as well and is super gentle. There is a little bit of a wait usually but it’s worth the wait. They are always getting new colors also which I love.

Positive: Quality, ValueI got the powder pink & white ombré, I chose Lilly the owner because I seen a couple reviews on her & im picky with my nails, she did a great job & was worth the wait!That is the only down side is they don’t do appointments, so you do have to wait. But if you have a day to kind of waste, I’d suggest going in the morning so. I got there at 11:20am & got out @ 1:20pm, as there was a wait in front of me. Which was surprising for a Sunday. Let’s start here the place closes at 7:30 I got there at 7 o’clock waited over 30 minutes to be seen by someone they finally sat me at a chair only to say wait one minute and go service someone else who was already done. I then sat an additional 30 minutes and still no one helped me I inquired to see if someone else could assist me and then they said we’ll be with you shortly long story short I waited over two hours only for no one to help me at all they didn’t even tell me how long the wait was going to be I assumed when the person left the table they went to the bathroom however after after 20 minutes he didn’t come back I looked around and saw that he went to service someone else after he sat me at his station to be serviced that’s very unprofessional his coworker was already servicing the person he went to go finish someone else’s job mind you that person was already done and her nails were drying sir what where you advising with exactly? Long story short that’s ridiculous and unprofessional

Unfortunately, my last time going to this shop or an Asian-Based nail shop in life. I’ve been patronizing these shops for 25 years, had so many bad experiences and I’ve had enough, I’ve tried giving chance after chance and I actually thought I had found a place where they had value towards their Customers, but it was only that a problem had not arisen yet. Black people, please start going where the love is and where your black dollars are appreciated. Went here , asked for something very specific, the nail artist messed up my nails mixing the gel with glitter. I wanted a clear nail with tip. I asked for compensation/discount twice, he didn’t make an effort to fix nails and ignored my plea to be compensated for his huge blunder. Didn’t really care that he was at fault, everyone knew that he had messed up, I was still charged full price. Had to go somewhere else to get nails re-done. The bottom line is there is a sense of entitlement and disregard to Black Customers who largely contribute and patronize these businesses that they not only will take our money but do what they want to do when it comes to servicing customers. You ask for short nails they argue with you. They give you gel when you ask for acrylic, they talk about you in front of your face in their native tongues , and yet we still patronize these places. I, personally am thankful for this experience because it made me do the work of actually finding a Black Servicing nail tech, which I’ve been meaning to do for years, where my money is appreciated, respected, and where they listen to my customer needs, and there is a comfortable and peace in spending my money.

Anywhere I’ve gotten a shellac manicure, it lasts strongly for a minimum of 2.5 weeks. I got shellac from here and the color from all of my nails were peeling after not even 4 days. Really disappointing.
