I was recommended to Alina’s Salon. The price is right and they have my hair looking healthy without a perm. Friendly, and you’re not in there for long periods of time..2 – 2 1/2 hours tops! My hair is very tick and course but after I leave there, my hair is soft, straight and healthy looking without the perm. Hairstyling, Hair coloring

I love this Salon. Your hair always looking so natural when leaving their salon. This is the only salon I allow to do my hair. I have gotten my hair trim and grew back fast. Hair coloring, Perms, Hair extensions

I absolutely love this hair salon! Bonny, Indira and Lady are amazing at what they do! I love that fact that nothing I need is ever to big for them to do especially with coloring my hair. If you want and need the best you definitely need to look up and use this amazing salon! You will not be disappointed and come out looking like you can walk the runway.

I’ve been going to this place recently, I’m a stylist too and I assure you that they don’t put any chemicals in their products because I checked before and I know what I’m talking about. but if you have natural hair obviously with the DOMINICAN Blowout it will be the sensation that you will perceive. the heat from the blowout that’s what it does. Excellent friendly services, fun girls, anyone who does your hair will leave that place spectacular. I give it 10 out of 10 and only 5 stars because there is no more…

Critical: Professionalism, QualityIf you’re natural like me I would think twice before going to this establishment. I seldom straighten my hair but when I do I always go to the Dominican hair salon. I thought I’d visit Alina salon because I saw they had more than reasonable pricing. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. As you can see in the first couple pictures I have curly 3b/3c curl pattern. My sister who came along with me has a very similar hair texture. They did a awesome job with getting our hair straight but sadly when it came time for my sister and I to wash our hair out, neither of our hair reverted back to its natural state. On top of that the entire house filled with a chemical like smell from us washing our hair. Not once have either of us had a perm or anything more than color be done to our hair to have it all ruined by this establishment. In the picture of me with the blue shirt you see how much looser my curl patter was and figured I just needed to do a treatment (as I’ve had to do in the past from getting my hair flat ironed) after a treatment nothing. A year and several hair cuts later my hair is in its natural state. I really hope they’ve changed and stopped putting chemicals in their clients hair without permission. That should be illegal!!Service: HairstylingIf you’re natural like me I would think twice before going to this establishment. I would absolutely NOT recommend this place to anyone if you have natural hair. I have 4c hair and the two women who worked on my head were both very rough while detangling my hair to the point where my head was constantly jerking back and forth as both the ladies combed out my hair recklessly. Both ladies noticed my destress and I even told them that they were combing it out carelessly as they were detangling my hair and did not change how rough they were. They both also had negative attitudes and were neither friendly nor welcoming. This was my first time visiting, but unfortunately I will never come back here even though the prices were affordable. The price I paid for a wash & set was not worth the awful experience I had during my time here.

I have been going to Alina’s for yrs now and the only person who touches my hair is Idiris ( I think I spelled her name right) she style my hair exactly how I want it. I’ve never had a problem with going back to its natural state after washing it. Everyone will have their own opinion but I’m definitely will continue to go to Alina’s. My hair naturally curly, second photo is after I went to Alina’s, my hair went back to its natural state after washing it,

I’m no stranger to Alinas. I was a die hard regular when Heidi worked here. I venture to most dominican salons in the area to be honest. I try to be cautious on how many blow outs I get because the heat has damaged my hair before. I recently took my daughter to get her hair done and she has natural hair. I’ve read several reviews on their being chemicals in the products and I will say from my experience with her that there is something in your products that is not returning hair to its natural state. My daughter wore her hair straight for 3 weeks. I was shocked it stayed straight for that long considering her hair. When we went to wash her hair out, it washed out straight….no Curl which it always has. My daughter washed her hair again last night, straight and a lot of damage. She’s had her hair straightened at Zoraida’s and it washes back to its natural state but after visiting here, it did not. Just check your products….there is something in them that’s straightening hair. I can only speak to my daughter’s experience. I have relaxed hair and come for the bouncy sleek blow outs. I’m just concerned after I brought my daughter to get her hair done.

Critical: ProfessionalismI heard great things about this salon and wanted to rock my 3c/4a natural hair straight for a few weeks. I went for two appointments in January 2021, after my second visit, I noticed that my hair would not revert to its natural state while sweating(I teach dance for a living). I panicked and I washed my hair and it smelled of awful chemicals.I didn’t ask for any special treatments because I’ve heard rumors about Dominican salons putting relaxers in clients hair without permission, when clients ask for deep conditioning, etc. In this case, the salon puts relaxer in their shampoo and/or conditioner. After multiple protein treatments and lots of protective styling I can see the “new growth” coming in and several points of breakage. I’ve never had a perm and now my hair is in a transitioning state and I will have to make a big chop. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Prices are great but the long term damage was not worth it.I heard great things about this salon and wanted to rock my 3c/4a natural hair straight for a few weeks.
