I have been getting my hair cut and colored with Ann for several years and when I noticed my hair started feeling dry, and the at home hair masks weren’t really working, she suggested a deep conditioning treatment. I agreed and figured it would last a few days, but it has been over two weeks and my hair is still so unbelievably SOFT and easy to manage. I love working with Ann, she always has a great solution! Highly recommend.

My favorite hairstylist is Ann. She takes her time listening to what the client is saying. She offers her idea of how to achieve your best look. She is a wealth of knowledge about your hair and how to make you look your best. She is patient. Ann gives the best scalp massage! So don’t bypass the shampoo! She is fun to work with whether you are of the younger age or older. Her salon is always clean. Her equipment is always clean and sanitized. She makes me feel like a friend and very at ease. The vibe is peaceful. Lots of color and plants!

I have been to Alder hair studio two times now. I found Ann, by luck, looking for someone close by. My first visit, I felt like she took the time to get to know me and my hair. This week I went in for color and s trim. I was so impressed. I have very short, fine hair and in the past, hairstylists have not highlighted the short hair in back…only on top. Even though it took Ann a great deal of her time, the color she put into my hair is beautiful. Not to mention, she gives the world’s greatest head massage while shampooing your hair. I feel very lucky to have found this quaint boho studio, and look forward to many future visits.

I’ve been working with Kristen to get my curls back, and each visit has been such a therapeutic experience. The space is so calming both visually and physically (plants, soft scents, etc), and Kristen herself is a very calming person. Getting even a simple haircut with someone new can be an overwhelming, and even vulnerable experience, but I feel safe and confident in Kristen’s hands!

Ann was absolutely incredible for my wedding. She does the most phenomenal airbrush makeup (that lasted ALL DAY!) She was on time and ready to roll on the morning of my wedding. She is someone who works with ease. Her bright hair colors are something to be envious of! She is also outwardly supportive of women and LGBTQIA+ which is a bonus in my book!
