Had Jules cut my hair today and it’s safe to say this is easily the best haircut I’ve ever had my entire life! Jules knew exactly what she was doing and cut my hair in a very professional and business friendly manner. My hair came out exactly as I wanted it. 5/5, will be coming back here again!

I love getting my hair cut and colored here, as does my mother. Relaxing vibe, doesn’t feel pressured. The shampooing is always extremely relaxing. The shop itself has a really quirky, punk aesthetic to it. Playlists aren’t your run-of-the-mill top 100 that you’re getting in other salons. It has a really personable character that always makes my cuts bring anticipation, rather than feeling like a chore. Alex is my go-to girl, but I’ve seen other stylists in there do some really amazing work. Best cut and color in Long Beach, by far.

I have been going to Alchemy 13th for my hair needs for more than 2 years. I’m always happy with the results. Margaret created such a relaxing warm place that I always feel welcome and have been treated as a friend. Justine cuts my hair every 2 months and I love it. Margaret colored my hair and I love it too. They have amazing stuff there and if I need something fun, unique, and good quality products I buy it in Alchemy instead of Amazon.

Awesome and excellent place and service. I have been a Long Beach resident since 2019 and have always gone to places in Manhattan. I found Alchemy 13 and love it. Have literally had my hair touched by each of the lovely ppl that work there and I have nothing but great things to say. They are all super knowledgeable, Friendly, the atmosphere is great. I have complicated color (gray with dark roots and wanting dimension/highlights) I am in and out in a short time. The store front and products sold are top notch. Prices are very reasonable.

Had an absolutely great first visit to Alchemy13 with Alex ! Professional and listened to my requests, hair issues, desire for my day to day maintenance, and made suggestions for my hair type that ultimately led to an amazing experience. Very much recommend! Also shop was super cool with lots of themed products that made it very much feel like a little alchemist shop.

I LOVED having my haircut at Alchemy 13. The space is warm, beautifully decorated, clean and smells wonderful. Every staff member greeted me with a smile and chivalry. Sloane washed my hair nicely and Alex consulted with me about my wishes for my hair before getting to work. She was friendly and did a great job. This was my second visit and I will return more often now.

This is by far the best haircut experience I’ve ever had. The staff, vibe, and cool stuff are amazing. Margaret is a sweet heart and has given me the best cut I’ve ever had, consistently! My wife loves them as well. She’s had coloring and cut and they look amazing! Love these guys, can’t recommend them enough.

Only giving 4 stars for two reasons: 1, social distancing was near impossible as the shop is tiny and appointments were back to back. 2, my daughter has natural banana curls and it was styled straight without asking. I prefer her hair curly as it gets frizzy and rather large when straightened.
