Started going here back in 2015, went about twice a year for braids of some sort, drove a nice distance to. In the beginning services we’re great I had no complaints really. In the last 3 years customer service and professionalism went down hill. The last time I went my 3 daughters got their hair done as well. For starters it was by far my worst experience ever. We all got started on very late, over 1 hour late, the reason for the late start was she had no stylist because they called out because of COVID and she couldn’t fire them (the memorandum was still in place at this point), while I’m a business owner myself I understood the legalities around that, however the proper thing to do in that situation would be to cancel the appointments because you lacked stylist, not have all your appointments show up and everyone is waiting and your scrambling and calling stylist that were originally off to come in. The situation was so bad that Albertine’s husband started braiding my daughters hair and it was a disaster he didn’t know what he was doing, she (Albertine), then came in late and started braiding my daughters hair but did a rush job, it was horrible, so horrible I had to bring her back the next day to get some of the Senegalese redone because they came out, only for a few days to past and they came unraveled again (pic provided that was day 3) I simply refused to go back, I was disgusted. My youngest daughter got Senegalese as well she had to get a handful redone too, they lasted about one week and they started to come out. I knew then I would have to take my money elsewhere. For someone that has been loyal for years, I was highly disappointed. Some of the stylist are sweet and they have talent, however business operations are not good, very unprofessional and not organized at all. Punctuality has always been a problem, prices can be a bit high, cleanliness is an issue and the professionalism is very lack luster. Everything can’t be about money, a business is successful based on the services you provide, word of mouth is the best form of marketing so when you have individuals that weren’t pleased you run the risk of bad reviews and people not patronizing your establishment, and you having a bad name, it will eventually catch up to you in the long run, Customer Service should always be #1.

I usually go to the other location in VA, but ended up here this time. Anyhow, this is the only hair salon that I go to and I’m always happy with my braids, and the staff are always friendly. It’s easy to set up an appointment and don’t have to worry about a laundry list of rules and deposits.

When I tell y’all that this was an amazing experience I mean it!!! I’m a working mom so it’s hard to find the time to get my hair braided! The fact that they’re 24 hours is heaven sent because I was tired of wearing them ponytails lol I got bohemian knotless braids!! I arrived at 830pm and they had me out by 12 yalll!!! Albertine the owner braided my hair and had amazing energy the whole entire time!! If I could give this place 10 stars I truly would! The customer service here is unmatched!! I live in bmore but I will NEVER mind the drive to get beautified ❤️❤️❤️

Typically once you’ve paid for a braiding service in the hair braiding industry they take your money and it’s done deal. However Albertine sick and all remained committed to trying to ensure that they made time to correct their errors and allowed it to be an opportunity to be a teaching moment for her staff member. Practically taking out the style and redoing it again no extra cost to me. Though I had challenges with trying to find time to travel the distance and had to get redone; I appreciate her continuous professionalism and the willingness to remain flexible and communicate with me while working around our conflicting work schedules. Great Customer service goes a long way! Thank you I will be returning again!

One of the best salons in Montgomery County! You can get practically any style you want done here and the shop hours are flexible. Only down side is they are extremely busy. It would be best to book online or in advance than to walk in, but they do most definitely take walk ins.
