Laura Beck did onsite chair massages for my coworkers and me today, a Christmas present from our boss. She was amazing! I’ve had a knot in my shoulder since Nov 2010 (the month I started working here, ahem), and she got it out. I prefer a shiatsu or deep tissue style massage to Swedish style, and the former is what Ms. Beck offered. She also did some reflexology on my thumbs, and offered great tips about how to deal with my particular set of knots–where to place my heating pad (lower on my shoulders than what I’ve been doing), reflexology techniques I might be able to use at home, etc.

A full disclaimer first – I have not been reimbursed for any of my comments here on this site. I came to Pensacola during the first week of July on a job assignment. I had previously injured my neck in April 2017. The injury was causing me great discomfort in the neck, right shoulder, right arm and I even had tingling sensation and numbness in my right forearm and hand. Needless to say I was worried. I had seen a massage therapist in Westminster, California when I was out there working in May and I saw a chiropractor in West Palm Beach while I was home in June. I saw the chiropractor on three different occasions. I got not relief from any of the previous therapies. When I met Laura she asked me what the issue was and I explained to her in detail what had happened. In two visits she had me on the road to recovery. My neck was now not hurting, my shoulder was on the mend and the tingling sensation in my right forearm/hand had gone away. Now, one month and four visits later, I am healed. Now that’s as good as it gets. Laura listens to your injury and she has a plan to get you back on track. She’s forceful when she needs to be but also knows that it’s not all about how hard you massage a muscle or tendon or ligament. I can’t recommend her services enough. If you’re in any type of pain from an injury or normal everyday work or play then you should see Laura so she can get you back on track and feeling healthy. Thanks, Laura for giving me my life back.
