The Skin Recipe
Initially, when I first came to this place, the service was great moving forward. My original nail tech is no longer working there so I was put to use another nail tech which was OK. However, I wasn’t able to be accommodated the full service that I needed. I wanted a full set and a pedicure. Unfortunately, they only accommodated me for the full set and told me to come back the next day which I couldn’t, Which led to me going somewhere else to get a pedicure. I decided to give them another try today to get fully serviced and I was told to use another new tech which I was very apprehensive about but I did it anyway (my mistake for trusting the owners judgement) and the job came out horrible I asked the young lady if she was able to at least try to do my feet she said she was uncomfortable with doing the service for me. Not to mention, there was nothing they could do for me but ask me to come tomorrow. The Customer service sucks! It’s just been too much back-and-forth and it’s a lot of disorganization at this place. It sucks because when I first open the nail techs were amazing now they’re just hiring anybody. I will not come back and I don’t recommend.

One star because I went in for a gel pedicure $39 & I was in a rush so I asked if i could pay during the service because i had to rush out after. I was told it would be $45. A few months later I looked up at the price list and saw that a gel pedicure was on $39, I asked the receptionist why I was charged she said it was to take off the gel polish on my toes… $5 to have the gel polish buffed off. Not soaked off, BUFFED off with a nail drill. I then asked if I could please have my $1 back because she had charged me extra. I had been here twice in the past and dont recall them ever charging me to have the polish taken off & I always have gel on my toes. For this reason I did not tip the person who did my toes because extra $5 should go to her & not the salon. Do better!

We moved to the neighborhood a few months ago and I discovered this gem by accident. It is AMAZING! The service is impeccable and I’ve consistently had some of the best pedicures and manicures there that I’ve had in my whole life. Great attention to detail and never skipping any steps. And all the women are SO nice! I’m thrilled that it is just up the street from me. Definitely my go-to nail salon!

Been to this nail salon a few times. Haven’t been disappointed yet. All the ladies there are kind, patient, and excellent at what they do. I was lucky enough to meet the owner on my last visit – her customer service expertise sets the standard for the salon. Lastly, my nails look great! Definitely recommend! They don’t take walk-ins. It’s NYC, who doesn’t take walk-ins? There was one client having her nails done. Three employees present. One doing the clients nails, one employee wearing a uniform doing the other employee wearing a uniform’s nails. They did not help me schedule an appointment when I asked there was time available now.

Best place to go for nails! It’s cute and everyone is so sweet 🙂 every time I go they take so much time and care with my nails and make the whole experience so relaxing and lovely.
