I absolutely love Akoi. Been going for years. Rachel, Kevin and David are amazing artist in their craft. Kevin’s free hand designs are spectacular. Rachel is a master of creating natural looking nails. I really cannot say enough about everyone at the spa. They all do amazing work and continue to perfect their art. One of my favorite elements is that they tag team to make sure the customer gets what they want. Best Nail spa in North Jersey.

I have been coming to this location for more that 2 years the environment is welcoming. The staff is amazing . Akoi Nails is the best nail salon I have been too. I definitely recommend it I have had friends and physicians come to this nail salon and they had an amazing experience. Rachel the eyelash tech she is amazing at her job she takes her time to do the lashes. I definitely recommend her to all of my girlfriends if you want a natural look that you can’t see the glue this is the place to come!! Kevin is one of the best nail artist his work is astonishing I met him more that 10 years ago and I fell in love with his work that I followed him to this Nail salon that he owns and I wouldn’t change it for anything!!

I used to come here before the pandemic. I went today because the girl that does my nails doesn’t work on Saturday’s anymore ☹️. I got a gel refill, the girl did a great job but they charge you extra for everything!! If you want your nails cut when you are doing a refill, that is $5.00 extra, then they charge $10 because they use gel color (so refill doesn’t include color), then $10 for design (that I can understand). I end up paying $70 for a refill + cc fee. My nails were good but this is overpriced compared with other salons!

I had a few bad experiences here until Carmen came into the place. She is super professional and works quickly and does an amazing job!!! Her work lasts several weeks and this is regular no gel! I am so satisfied with everything and for those who get acrylic she is also amazing at that. Ask for Carmen and you won’t regret it. Manicure, Pedicure, Gel manicures

Um, prices are good here. But this place has done ameture work on my nails both times I went recently. This older lady who’s stationed next to David by the register has been doing my nails and both times they’ve been meh. I went back to get them fixed but they looked at me like “you came back to get the same color and style?” Like yes. I wanted a certain color and she messed it up and if someone could fix it I would appreciate it. And they did without charge. I went back today- got the same lady. Tried to give her another chance but she didn’t execute well. She got frustrated by the style I wanted and my nails weren’t filed evenly. I asked for a marble design and she gave me her version of it… I told her if she didn’t know how to do it it would be fine and doesn’t need to do it. Then I asked her about the crystal pixie and she was getting frustrated about that too. Its not like I told her last minute what I wanted – I showed her and asked if she could do it. She said yes. But she didn’t know how to and got upset and mumbled things under her breath and only spoke in her language. It was very rude of her. I didnt say anything, I was nothing but polite and even tipped her. But sadly I won’t be coming back. I wish I had been treated with a bit more decency and with some honesty. I paid 50$ today for my nails and honestly don’t think it was worth it but yeah I guess it could of been much worse

(UPDATED 7/28 – ANOTHER NAIL BROKEN!!!) My experience here was HORRIBLE. The staff weren’t even remotely friendly, my sister and I waited an hour before I got called over to have my nails done and before she got started they took someone else who had come in after us. I asked them NOT to cut my natural nails and they still went ahead and did it claiming it was because of the shape I wanted, which was contradictory of what they said in the beginning. We spent a total of a little over 3 hours in this place and all that got done were my nails because my sister decided she’d had enough of waiting and so did I. Originally we were both getting nails and pedicures done. The one guy claimed they were understaffed but that apparently didn’t make them work any harder or give better customer service to make up for it. The entire process was, I’m sure, longer than it needed to be. I mean she spent probably a total of an hour and 15 minutes just on filing alone. And then the shape wasn’t even that close to what I’d asked for. I’m leaving a photo comparison for you to judge for yourself (left is what i showed them, right is what i got). The woman was also pretty rough when repositioning my hands and didn’t speak to me at all. I didn’t even know she’d come over to do my nails until she put out her hands, signaling for me to give her mine. Lastly, as I write this only 4 days later, TWO of my nails have already broken, despite being told the gel was much stronger and longer lasting than the acrylic and paying almost double what the acrylic would’ve cost. I will NEVER set foot back in this place and I suggest you don’t either. (OH AND THEY HAD NO HAND SOAP IN THE BATHROOM)
