Usually pleased with the service at akoi but it seems service has become inconsistent. I showed up to my appointment to get my eyebrows done and was told to walk straight back to the wax room. They then let the woman who’d be servicing me know that I was here and she seemed surprised because she was currently working on someone’s nails. As I was waiting in the wax room I couldn’t help but notice the dirt, loose hair, and what seemed to be bodily fluid on the waxing table. I should have left right then but was eager to get my eyebrows done since they were done so nice the last time I was here. The lady came in to put a small piece of paper on the table for me to rest my head on and started my eyebrows. The wax machine looked like it hadn’t been clean and was extremely hot on my skin.. my wax was more painful than usual. I thought nothing of it because I had grown my eyebrows out for a while and always let her know that I like to keep them thick and would prefer them just to be cleaned up. I could tell she was rushing because she had to get back to her other clients nails. As I sat up to look at my eyebrows they were almost completely gone at the ends and super thin all around !! No wonder it hurt, most of my brows are gone. Im so so disappointed and upset. Won’t be coming here again.

Critical: ValueFirst $50 dip manicure lasted 9 days and I went back asking them to fix and they told me I would have to pay since it was almost two weeks and their manager was on vacation so they couldn’t ask her (since when is 9 days two weeks??Just for accuracy, I went for the initial manicure the night of July 30th and went back for the fix yesterday afternoon ). After the girl at the desk looked up the last time I was in and told the nail techs it was in fact not two weeks since I had been there, the nail tech said she would do a gel manicure at 20% off. I said fine in order not to argue. I paid the $21 and left- within 24 hours the gel manicure (that took the nail tech all of 20 minutes to do) has also lifted. In total I spent $71 plus tip on two nail services, that when combined, still did not last two weeks. I had Zoe! She did an amazing job. I didn’t feel like she was rushing and I was very comfortable. She fixed the shape of my nails so great! The Nail Salon i went to before here definitely didn’t understand the task at hand. This is definitely my new nail salon and Zoe is my new Nail Tech for sure

The girls at Akoi Nail Spa are absolutely amazing. The entire staff is professional and do amazing jobs on the nails and the pedicures are the best I’ve ever had. My daughter and I both go here and even though my daughter is 9, they treat her with the same respect and professionalism as they do me. The salon is very clean and all safety measures are in place. I will never go anywhere else

Akoi is hands down the very BEST nail salon in South Jersey. The owner is obsessed with cleanliness and spares no expense to keep the place immaculate. Every technician is experienced and professional. I go to Mary who I absolutely love.
