****IT’S WORTH THE WAIT**** If you’re a new client, you’ll have to wait at least two months for a color appointment because of how busy they are. Most stylists there are pre-booked by their clients with appointments spanning from 6 months to 1 year out…. Like myself. My recommendation is to get in the rotation, don’t miss your appointment, schedule ahead of time and you will NEVER be disappointed. You can’t expect to see stylists in high demand within a days notice, it just doesn’t work like that! So don’t let that to detour you from making your appointment.

Ask for Yusa. I had grown out my hair during the pandemic and desperately needed a fix. I am only writing this review because people won’t stop complimenting my hair now and it’s ridiculous. I am a male with what I would consider difficult hair to work with. I asked for something low maintenance but still stylish.. guy absolutely nailed it. Thanks.

When my mom finally gave me the option to find my own place, I tried out Akane Hair Salon after hearing about it from a friend. Lemme tell you: The best decision of my life. I walked in wanting a nice balayage but I came out with a gorgeous 10/10 haircut and color job. The Salon itself is very professional, friendly, and chill. Going in knowing no one, I was lucky to have randomly made an appointment with Kosuke. He was so professional, attentive but chill at the same time. It was a 5 hour ordeal but felt attended to every second of the time frame. In the last 24 hours, I got so so many compliments and I am extremely happy with the finished product. I was told by my mom that if I came home with blonde hair compared to my black hair, I would not be allowed back in the house but even as a blonde hair hater, she ended up loving my hair. I found my hair place and if you are on the edge on making an appointment, you might want to call as soon as possible to even think of getting your hair done within the next month and a half(they seem pretty popular). I cannot stop looking at my hair! When my mom finally gave me the option to find my own place, I tried out Akane Hair Salon after hearing about it from a friend. This salon came highly recommended. My teenage daughter wanted to get the back of her hair colored with a “gray” color. This was the very first time she was doing this and for her it was very important.She has very short hair. None of the Asian stylists worked on my daughter’s hair. It was a Hispanic woman. She was very nice but my daughter’s hair came out a “blue-green”. My daughter was not happy so after a week we went back and they tried to redo it. This time it came out a lighter blue. My daughter has not enjoyed her hair color at all and washes her hair ever day to try and get the color out and now her hair is an ash, golden brown. Mind you I paid a very high price ($180) for a partial dye of very short hair, so there is no excuse for it not having resulted in the exact color that my daughter wanted and paid for. I only gave 3 stars because the staff are nice, but at these prices and at a supposedly high level salon, things like this cannot happen. Nice is good but what matters most is a quality, professional job where the customer can be happy and satisfied (and thus will return) and the finished hair style will be a “walking announcement” for the salon, in that everyone who sees it will want to know where it was done.

Typically I cut my own hair at home and have a barber trim it every few months. Yuki was friendly and made no mistakes! She also gave me more styling tips and what wax to use for my hair.
